Right now, I'm more comfy with the PS3 controller. Slowly trying to learn with a stick, but it just feels weird for me. Can't seem to do 214 and 236 motions quite as accurate. Guess it just comes with time. ;D

stick!!! even though I only have access to an xbox controller right now... zzz

have you tried performing Ivy's sword/whip throws with the xbox controller?... lol

blah i still occasionally screw up my Taki 214s and 236s.. stupid xbox controller /fail

It seems easier using a controller when most of your characters depend on simple directional presses on a d-pad. I tried SC on a stick and didn't care for it much.

I can't imagine having much fun pulling off Ivy's throws on a pad but thankfully I don't play her.

I use a controller. I tried many times before to get accustomed to the stick and can't. I don't use a character that has to perform tough movements with the controller, so I suppose that's one reason I can get away with it.

I come from playing 2D fighters more than anything, so stick is natural but I don't have one for PS3, so I've just been playing with pads. Of the two, I prefer PS3, because the dpad on the 360 feels unnaturally placed.

Playing Tekken style feels unnatural to me also, and button mapping doesn't feel right, I either map A + BKbuttons together (as an example) and I lose the ability to slide between them, or I map extra A + B + K and pressing shoulder buttons with face buttons is fuggly. The L2 and R2 buttons being spongey doesn't help at all.

As soon as I get my converter back I'll learn the game on stick. :)

I honestly prefer my 360 DPad.
Why? I guess it's just something that I am very much used to by now. I never really used the stick,I think I tried it once when I was 5 when my dad had one for the Super Nintendo for his SF,but I guess I just never got to interested in it. :P

Not only that, when I was in CGS I got my 360 pad modded and it was A LOT more smoother, which made it more easier for me to use it. I'm getting a bit interested into the Stick, but I've YET to buy one so I can let you all know how I feel.

Bought a hrap3 and never looked back since. Sticks ftw!

So use to sticks, sometimes I wonder if I can play every game with it..... fps/racing/rpg/etc.. .etc.... lol.

I've played Soul Calibur 2 with a... Fishing Pole (big bass fishing), DDR Pad, PS2 controller, XBox controller, GC controller, and maybe 4 different sticks. I liked the PS2 controller the best after all of that... but I still like a stick on 2d fighters.

PS3/360 controller for me. I can do all of my stuff jsut fine from JF, crazy grabs, and soem other stuff to. And I voted for the PS3 controller, cause I feel move pwning and kic kass with it.

Stick. I have made the switch to stick.(thanks Hori and godspu) fucking love my custom, know why? Its mine. Thats why.

I used to play SC2 and 3 with PS2 pad...and I did play DOA4 with a 360 controller.

I still havn't made the full transition from pad to stick on Tekken, but everything else...done. (can buffer CoM and iSW on T5 with stick, that I can't do on pad...everything thing else goes to shit for some reason...)

Fighting games feel more comfortable on a stick for me.
Though I've always played on a controller as though it was a stick (index, middle) I finally made the switch to PS3 Stick and my hands thank me for.

Stick.

I don't use button mapping or contort my hands to be able to press all the buttons, JFs are also easier for me on stick.

stick

it's true you'll feel uncomfortable at first
miss combo...miss the input...etc etc

but once you get used to it
you'll never want to come back :)
trust me hehehehe....

I use the ps3 controller because it's what I'm most use to, but a stick would be nice for some characters like ivy and astoth, I didn't even know astroths 22_88b 28b+g had a just frame till i tried it with the analog stick on the ps3 controller. o_o

I play on a Hory EX2 stick for my 360.

I like the stick much more, just cause I like the feel, but I don't know how big a difference it makes in SC. Except I hate pushing G+B on a pad.
