Tekken Revolution (Free to Play)

I wasted all of my Premium Tickets (6) on the Mokujin festival to unlock Eliza and I can't remember how I got them in the first place :(
I did play someone who was using her and I saw a totalof 3 moves. Regular projectile, charged projectile and nap time.

Started playing today.

I used Lili throughout my matches today since I heard she was an easy to use character. Its a bit different since bounds don't exist, and it might be me, but timing felt a little tighter and I was having trouble doing certain strings.

I played two games on the arcade. I beat the mode on normal and challenged it again on hard, lost on the second or third match.

I then went to arcade and tried rank match. I fought an Asuka player who kept attacking and running a spinning kick unblockable (I believe its 4RK?). I beat that player fairly easy.

I next fought a Mentor Paul player (I'm 1st Dan), it was hard figuring out what he was doing. Lots of jabs and the occasional 2RK. I lost to him.

I fought a Law player next and he kept doing this weird blur kick and hopping and going into Law's punch parry stance. It took a bit of work, but I figured out the red blur moves were highly punishable on block so I use 6RPLK to punish every attempt. I won.

I next fought a King player. This player was similar to the Law player, but instead used a blue-blur colored move. Like before, I punished and hit back a couple times. The match's lag was inconsistent, and I didn't too well beyond punishing. I lost this match.

I next fought a Mentor Kazuya player. This player was tricky to deal with. He kept using a red-blur punch move. I punished. He then went into Devil Kazuya and started spamming lasers. I had trouble dealing with this and eventually lost the match.

For the most part, I don't know Lili that well. Aside from a combo that Nyawu taught me from Tekken 6, I don't really know any pokes, other combo strings or any specific moves that really work. Nothing really clicked with me in terms of whether or not it was good beyond her 6LPRK string punish and Nyawu's combo. The combo is d/f 3+4, d+2, WS2, 2,1... I ended up forgetting the rest, but I filtered in 1,2,4 to finish it off. A lot of players got caught by the d/f+3+4 and it seemed to be safe thanks to the CH d+2s that hit constantly. Beyond that, lots of jabbing and weird foward kicks and punches.

EDIT: Managed to acquire 38 blood seals. I'm out of coins for now it seems. Unless I use real money to purchase some.

I don't mind learning Lili, but I really want to play Eliza. She's pretty much the only other character beyond Jin that I like.

And I suck with Jin.
Both are good. In regards to Eliza, you may have to do some digging to find out her frames. While she has a pitifully small movelist, she has her strengths which I'll list tomorrow.

That's what I heard regarding her move list. It's a positive for me, since I think I do better with smaller move lists that really large ones.

Finished off another series of plays. I'm up to... 700 seals now. Thanks to some help with some natural pokes, I managed to beat a number of players that seemed to be fairly skilled but weren't really (or maybe they were under estimating me?) I'm still looking for opportunities to launch and do some simple combos, but I think I've been a bit too timid in using Lili's d/f2 and other moves. For the most part, I'm playing a very simple punishment game and being really safe about it. So far its worked out well. Maybe I can get enough seals before I really have to start thinking.

Finished off today with 1000 seals. If I keep this pace of 1000 seals every two days, I should be able to unlock Eliza is about 40 days! ... sheesh.

I'm starting to encounter a lot more players with lots of gimmicky play styles. I encountered two King players who love running his low kick string (everyone should know the one) and I encountered an Asuka player who went into parry stance after every unsafe move and basically just sat there playing super defensive (or attempt a throw). I ended up running the same opening attack (df3+4) every time and won the match. The second time around when I encountered the player, I lost. And the two King players I encountered, both of them I lost to.

None of the players I've encountered attempted any juggles or launchers, but many of them did attempt throws. I escaped them as I could, but I had trouble figuring out which one is which (I know the reaching hand is the escape).

I'm still attempting a few juggles and launchers, but I'm mostly just punishing and poking with f2,3 and b1,4. I'm still a bit timid to try using 1+2 or any of the suggested moves. Since I'm ending up on second player a lot of the times, I'm not able to qcf effectively to try anything there, not to mention that I'm not even sure it would work. I'm still at a loss of what works with Lili, and while I've used 1,2 sparingly, I haven't been able to press advantages as much as a should. I barely touch df2 launcher or anything else really.

Another series of games finished today, I'm at 1200 seals now and this series of matches weren't too good. I ended up fighting a lot of level 30+ players! many of which weren't too good but still manage to beat me. Most of the players I fought were Lars, and Kazuya and seemed to spam the same old stuff I've seen. I'm have real difficulty punishing. When I think I have the opportunity to punish certain moves after block I eat an invincible move. I'm not sure what I can use to punish, but I am finding out that invincible moves are very punishable on block for launcher combos. This doesn't seem to deter the player, however.

You're gonna find a lot of players abusing gimmicks and other questionable behavior on TR- it's just its nature.

Some of the frames from TTT2 should still be the same (at least when it comes to punishing). Of course, remember that when you're late on the punish you get hit with a revers- I mean invincible move.

All invincible moves tend to be extremely punishable, yes. You need to launch and use your most damaging combo (or at the least, the one you can pull off most consistently).

Most players will just go right back to using it, so you should just block and let them hang themselves. The danger is in stopping your own pressure and playing passively, waiting for them to be reckless- sometimes they will suddenly grow a brain, and that really throws you for a loop.

Understood. I'm actually at a bit of loss here when it comes to Lili pressure. I only really know of her natural strings f2,3, b1,4, 1,2, 3,1 as main tools of punishment and poking. I'm not exactly sure how to mount an offensive or pressure game with Lili. Her QCF stuff is really hard to do in this game and a lot of her moves don't feel very comfortable to use.

I'm pretty sure this has been already mentioned but I'm noticing a huge difference between the facial models between TTT2 and TR. Here's a link which shows some examples:

http://www.avoidingthepuddle.com/ne...-tekken-revolution-character-facial-chan.html

I can't tell which game has the better or worse models. IMO, Lili and Alisa both look fine in TTT2. The older models for the rest look like they're in their 40's trying to cosplay as teenagers while the TR models look too... uncanny? It's weird and it makes me appreciate the character models from SCV even more.

Also, all the women have freakishly broad shoulders and pecs.

The facial models look more anime-ish.

My personal preferences:

Leo: TTT2. TR makes her face look fat and too feminine, when she is meant to look ambiguous.
Alisa: TTT2. TR makes her look too much like a typical anime moeblob.
Christie: TTT2. TR redesign makes her look unnatural.
Nina: TR because it looks closer to the CG renders. TTT2 model makes her look like a man.
Kunimitsu: N/A as her face is hidden by her mask and she looks the exact fucking same in both games.
Xiaoyu: TR because she actually looks Chinese.
Asuka: TR. TTT2 just looks really off.
Lili: TTT2. TR makes her look like a porcelain doll.
Jun: N/A because she looks the exact fucking same in both games.

Unlocked Eliza, she's a lot of fun to play... but sheesh is her move list small. All in all, she's got less than 20 moves if you avoid repeats and variants.

But its still a lot of fun to constantly use her blur attacks... really gives that nice Vampire-like feeling to the character. I think, were she in Tekken Tag, I might finally have a partner for Jin. That said, she needs a heckuva a lot more moves to deal with TTT2 characters.

So far, I found that her 2,4 is a punisher similar to Jin's 2,4. Her d/f2 claw attack stuns on CH and her main launcher is her u/f3,2. Oh and aside from being a tracking move, f1+2 has great range and a similar stun option on counter hit.

With all that said, I'm not exactly sure what to poke with or whether I should be super aggressive with her or not. I'm finding that TR is a bit on the broken side with the Skill Point system, dumping all your points in Power rating makes even the simplest attacks pretty lethal. The other issue I'm finding is that I only really know one (relatively good) combo, and I'm not quite sure how to combo some of her other stuff (b1,2,4 and others).

Just got her today. Going to pump her with 200 Endurance because the majority of her moves are ass. She feels like a botched combination of Lili and Alisa.

People are using exploits to max out all three character stats to 200 each. Luckily from the videos I've seen, those people aren't that good.
