Tips on making an arcade stick from scratch?

Anybody got any tips or tricks on building a stick completely on one's own?

I've done some stick modding before, but building my own from scratch seems like a fun project.

if you have the tools to build your own case, odds are you already know what you're doing. if not, you may want to buy a case and build from there.

Thanks for all your help guys, I'll check those sites now! Also, is that where I'd buy a case?

I "know" what I'm doing, I haven't like sold sticks to anybody but I've modded three of em. I'm just sick of working with crappy plastic & metal & no space in the box, and just want a taller wood case. One of my friends has a lot of wood working tools, so he can probably a) cut the wood to the size I want, b) cut the holes in it, c) make everything hold together. I've got the soldering stuff.
