Sometimes you need to be pushed in order to get better at least I'm thinking Vincent is trying to convey here; for him to say that Ontario is trash is just a typical trash talk; nothing too special.

You know what I think the problem is... we're being too friendly and when I say too friendly I mean way too friendly like this is some kind of My Little Pony, Where Friendship is magic type of friendly. It's time to spew in more hate in the mix, at the same time let newcomers understand the mentality of that kind of attitude.

You may disagree, but let me ask you this; how is Vints' way of trash talking or 'insults' (as you so put it) any different than the way Amaury trash talks/insults Chu-Fye, Vints, and Eli? At first I was like meh, but then I begin to realize the potential hype it brings as it builds tension.

It's a shame that Amaury quits for a poor reason, I noticed that after this aftermath, we weren't as active in his absence.

The level of hatred between OOFMATIC, Chu-Fye and Vints make them no communication at all. I don't think it is called "community" if a community has no communication.

To be honest, I think all of them, Vints, Chu-Fye and Amaury are wrong. I don't see it builds a tension. I just saw a lot of crossing line of insults and threats that ends up to be in a SC dead scene. People have changed here, they are no longer the people I knew in the old days. People always lie to themselves for defending their ego. This is one of reasons destroys this community.

Amaury had heart, but he always turned good things to be bad such as how he arranged the tourneys. Also, It was ridiculous to see Amaury failed his own setup (trash bag) and blamed on people instead. And he didn't pay the bet. I think he is going to become a "brazen-faced" soon.
Amaury! Prove me wrong. Be a man to take the hit and pay the bet!

Chu-Fye is a "brazen-faced" and like to eat popcorn.

Vints is a great Pope. Plus, he has good thinking and literature knowledge and knows how to abuse the system, twist logic, rant people and get people's attention well. He always likes to get the last sentence of argument. His ego is so strong and he has insecurity issues.

As a competitive player, you've got to take the mofo down; don't let him get away with it and if you lose, then come back later when you level up your game. That's what I think part of the spirit of hating is about.

Not that it's entertaining for me to watch, but when I look at the words "competitive" and "community" taking Vints on in a game of Soul Calibur is what those two words are about.

Of course you shouldn't trash talk around work. It's unprofessional, ppl won't understand, and it's the wrong time to be talking smack. You gotta separate work time and Soul Calibur time.

Quite frankly I can be nice person when I'm in public and not playing competitively, but when I get into the zone it's time to put on that hate mask.

I have a job and family to take care. And I still haven't fully come back SC5 scene from SC2HDO's depression. I don't even remember how to play Lizardman. My Nightmare is so rusty. Man, I'm busy too. Not only you.
I never force you to challenge Vints. I just disagree on your attitude and point of views.

You made a friendly banner to promote our scene in post#11528. I didn't see any hatred theory showing, so I gave you a like. After Chy-Fye's post, all the sudden, your hatred theory pop up. You know what, it was hard to follow your flow, man.
And then you posted your "desperate measures" theory to explain nothing to Vints' post. And then you didn't think Vints is destroying your plan. One of his points said: "ADVERTISING ONLY INVITES FAKE HYPE AND FILTHY CASUALS." I just thought "Do you really plan to do an advertising?"
Also, you expected people to create more hatred but you didn't do it or try to lead because you are not ready? Seriously, I never see a task can be done in success if a guy didn't work for it by himself. Where is your flow?

So we're very close to the new year and so I guess for our new year's resolution I like to point out my ideas that are opened for discussion:

• Help spread the word of our local scene especially with the use of my banner.
• More diverse teachers; some prefer a certain type of teacher and their teaching methods; not everyone agrees on the same type of good teacher.
• Look at the remaining active regions in 8wayrun; observe and ask them questions on how they run their scene as well as how they promote their community.
  • Take down notes and experiment with their methods.
• Take down the toughest local competitors on the block and then reach out to outsiders.
• hate! Hate! HATE!

You wanna start something, then do something about it.

Point at that dude and go "dude I don't like your hair, Money Match ME!", dude #2 goes "lay off the hair mofo; let's get down to business."

Ironically I won't have the time to compete, but I'll find some way to contribute.
