Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

where people sometimes have to make peace with walls they can't overcome (or won't enjoy).

Or make everything easy-mode like games seem to be turning to so there are no barriers people have to work past or around.

---edit---i fucked up the excerpt from your quote so I had to fix it

And keep in mind that the whole reason any of this is being discussed is because I said the way I play is very reaction based.

You know i meant this as a witty joke like haha we've talked this issue to death (You had a really bad reaction bro) didn't you see the little smiley face...

You all intepret everything here as 'a bad reaction' even when someone's just disagreeing wth you so I don't know about that. And, like I said, I just wanted to clear things up before anyone else added their two cents.

So along with my main team I'm thinking of having a secondary team, right now I'm using skrull/task/doom decent enough team?

Dr. Strange and Nemesis revealed

Didn't get Vergil this time, (although I do expect him at TGS) but Strange makes up for it I guess. He looks to be a great mix of Trish and Dormammu on crack lol I can only imagine the Strange/Dormammu fights =)

Also, Strange is fucking HUGE.

WTF is nemesis hitting people with? a brick? He does insane damage and if you look at his projectile its pretty fucking fast. New team Hulk/Dr.Strange/Nemesis. Nemesis has a command grab projectiles and a counter hyper, I love it.

OK so i have been playing MvsC3 for a month now and I see its coolnes but I am surprised that people say that this game has more depth or is better than SC or DOA from what I can tell this game feels like Playing Cards. Where as SC and DOA feel more about an actual model with a set of moves... I cant explain it. But I just dont think this game is on the same calibur.

Maybe im just not used to 2Dfighters but It dosent have that feeling of anticipation - i cant explain it. Still its only been a month LOL!

Ok this has been a random thought sharing moment...

The biggest issue is this game is just too much reward. If it weren't for that, this game has a TOOOOOOON of depth. There is a huge list of shenanigans and tactics and enough options you will see very different playstyles not just in the teams, but in individual characters as well. It's a different type of skill than 3D fighters. With 3D it's very reaction based and frame data becomes more prevalent. With 2D fighters its a lot about hit confirms, combo execution, and applying pressure in attempts to sneak a hit in to start the damage.

While MvC is incredibly easy to pick up and can be played pretty efficiently at low level...it does have a high level of mastery and plenty of depth. The big problem is some of the games exploits and balance can make it so you don't need to focus on things that should be key...easy 100% DHC combos strip away a lot of the skill, not just in execution, but the player making risk/reward choices is non-issue because 1 combable poke is a kill. But when you take away the exploits, X factor lvl 3, and phoenix, the game is really good...so UMvC 3 should be a lot better...cept dat GUI...ewwwwww

Yup people don't really experiment with characters if they can just learn one combo that leads to inta-death, also doesn't help when a lot of players are just sheep that follow and play the characters that tournament players use.
