What do you think is her story in the game? Her relation with other characters and the sword? But nothing about Amy. We already made that a possibility. Think of something more creative. For now, Amy doesn't exist. Just Viola.

Since shes going to be around ZWEI, I dont know what will she be after. Soul Edge, SoulCalibur, or Neither. Good, Bad, or Neither as well. To me she maybe a Normal chracter. I cant tell what sword shes after. Her attitude will show if shes good or bad.

I'm thinking her powers either come from her being a witch/sorceress/wizard or whatever. She sort of looks like a gypsie to me as well and they believe in that type of thing. (I mean witches)

Seriously though, I think since she lost her memory, probably the first person she met or something like that was ZWEI and now they travel together. (possible ZWEIxViola?) But knowing Namco's aversion to anything romantic, that won't happen ^^

I personally think she met up with Rachel Alucard and Mu-12 and they taught her the arts in stage traps and throwing objects in the field and making them, well...traps. she has learned well.

Let's try to be more specific.
IF she is like a sorcerer/witch type char (she looks like it). Maybe for a quest to gain the SE sword she wanted to use magic. However she used too much power into her magic and boom.. her memory is gone because of a huge explosion and she landed on her head leading to brain dmg and memory loss.
