What SCV Needs.

1. A new developer. Namco rushed SCIV and now its more obvious they rushed SCV roster-wise. Project Soul needed more time and Namco's bitchass decided to give them that early ass release date. I would'nt be surprised if SC as a series moved to another japanese game developer.

That's it point blank, all the problems with SCV thus far is partly Namco's fault

They really used Zwei as a replacement for Talim??
Aww... I like Talim... But... I like Zwei too... D:> Why couldn't they just include Talim as well? *sigh*
Ahem anyway.... I think that they need...

1. Team Battle Mode (SC2 style)
2. Survival (SC3 style, that was a pretty fun take on survival mode)
3. A Mode like Chronicles of the Swords (At least it gave you something to do with your created characters)
4. Character Profiles & Model Viewers
5. Talim, Yun Seong, & Zasalamel or at least replacements or including their styles for CAS (BUT, I heard that Talim and Zasalamel were confirmed for DLC)
6. Minigames (Sort of like they did in SCIII with those little mission modes like when you got to fight the statue of the Eurydice Shrine or collection coins when you are fighting or even the one where you had to use soul charge to collect wisps to attack your foes)

And that's pretty much it. I'm still going to buy, love, and support this game though. I am very grateful for the fact we got another Soul Calibur game. PS really tried their best and it is very evident.

1. Team Battle VS
2. Survival (with hi-score list)
3. Arcade endings (text/images would suffice)
4. Character profiles

In that order.

Feel free to add your own list.

I like what your list is comprised of. I would have said the same things. To add to your excellent list, I'd say SCV could use:

1. a REAL character select and VS. prep screen (akin to SC2's)

2. A buffed Zasalamel, Talim, and Yun Seong (or at least their "styles" fully incorporated into the engine)

and

3. The character in your avatar. From a design standpoint, he's both more well developed and intimidating than any "boss" in SCV. He would have been perfect as a part of Legendary Souls mode.

Of course, the game is what it is now. It's not going to have any of the things in this thread on the 31st, but there's no harm in passing the time this way.

1.New chars
2.Endings, with awesome videos, or at least with in game renders. "Playable" edings again would be nice.
3.Tales of the sword mode or similar
4.Team, Survival, Time attack
5.Musseum, profiles, exhibition and such

Make it more fun for non competitive characters in general.

CAS is for the casuals

Casuals pay the same for the game, so they have the same right to have what they want as much as hardcores. Casual oriented features are not better or worse than other features.

1. No Talim.
2. No Yun-seong.
3. No Zasalamel unless his entire movelist gets a complete redesign.
4. Survival mode would be awesome.

Pretty much

I most definitely wouldn't buy any SC game if it was 20 characters and only versus/special versus modes available, even if those modes are the ones I find the most enjoyable when I actually have access to people willing to play with me. Even if you wanted to make a game that caters to the hardcore competitive players, there's simply not enough of those in the world to make your game profit from just them. If you mainly play it for tournaments and other high level matches, consider the rest of the game a necessary evil that keeps your series alive.

SCV needs nothing.

Why the lowered expectations? The things I listed are hardly unprecedented. SC2 had all of them. I see no good reason for their exclusion. Team Battle VS in particular would be funner than ever with the advent of CaS. We had tag team functionality in SC4. So close, yet so far.

SCV has no endings for each characters...? EPIC FAIL if it's true....

It's true. This youtube user got the game early:

I lower because I'm not a fan of nostalgia. Would love to have these back, but I'm generally content with making do with what I have.....

You can try to persuade, but my opinion will not change. Sorry.
