Which characters would you have killed off?

He's 40, unmarried, virgin, babysitting the Alexandra children, still blathering on about Soul calibur.... She ruined him! T^T

I don't care how offtopic this is, I thought it was funny (and kind of ironic :P)

As far as Leixia, Xiba, and Natsu, they were supposed to be the successors of Xianghua, Kilik/Seong Mi-Na, and Taki but it seems like fans just want the originals back and have the "successors" removed or replaced. The only way I see this happening is through the storyline and weapon styles. Have Xianghua find Leixia using a chinese fan and sword, Kilik gets his bo staff style, Seong Mi-na with a staff with blades on opposite ends, and Taki using various ninja weapons other than the kodachi. Age shouldn't matter either, since fans still haven't gotten over their mains not being in the game, and I think this may be the solution..

Thing is- to assuage/placate fans PS could have put Taki, Xianghua, Setsuka, Talim etc in the story mode as cameos as they did with Edge Master or Ivy and and just kept them as non playable characters in Legends - just having their presence in the game would have been okay-ish.. and when Natsu, Xiba, Alpha Pat and Leixia met them - some inane quote by the Boss character could be tailored appropriately for them.

Or alternately - they could have re-released past soul calibur games for ps3....

But more importantly- there are zillions of fighting styles out there- why pass up on the chance of giving 'the successors' totally unique and unrelated to a degree - fighting styles from their mentors?

Daishi missed that and as a game developer I think thats unforgiveable especially when the word develop has no bearing on the game.

Sorry about the rant.

And for those who think I was too harsh with Daishi.... sorry but... game developers, and project leaders and so on are supposed to Progress the game not de-evolve it or stagnate it.

I mean, just look at the guy! He's 40, unmarried, virgin, babysitting the Alexandra children, still blathering on about Soul calibur.... She ruined him! T^T

Lol XD
Poor Siegfried. I would've thought the guy at least catch a break but no, and talk about an actual losing streak, especially with Hilde just having him as a sworn ally and not a love interest.

Any of these would've worked and still made Soul Calibur V decent. Yes, I know its too late to undo what happened but I think should be taken into account. MIZIEYA, your words aren't harsh but rather to the point and I think that's what Daishi and Co. were missing.

I don't really think you can miss something when you are rushed. You can just hope what you can get finished is good enough. I'd rather have the SCV we have now instead of a different SCV with a bunch of half-assed ideas and poor balance due to time constraints.

There's this concept called Planning. I am beginning to doubt the 'we were rushed' scenario. Harada and Daishi made some conflicting statements- for instance- taki will be in scv- then she wasn't. Devil jin however was..... Lets suppose for one instance that scv wasn't rushed and that the end product which we have is exactly what they wanted.... With the continual 'support' for dlc that mysteriously stopped....which didn't even give us the whole rosters player outfits....

Don't get me wrong- i like scv but really 'we were rushed' doesn't add up. However 'we are taking the piss' sounds closer to the truth...as well as "we'll pass the buck as part of Plan B".. because Daishi's first time as Project Leader was balled up by him.
