Why do you main the characters you main today?

I usually main characters that seem to be considered the worst in the game or that are easy to use and masher friendly. But it depends.

SC- Ezio, Zwei, Raph. More rare Mitsu and Aeon.
Because Namco hate Hwang and Rock. Mitsu 4th because is never been so boring. Thanks Obama, thanks Daishi.
I find Ezio, Zwei, Raph very fun to use. Aeon too, but after some match it become kinda boring

SF- Ryu, Cody, Dictator, Gief. Sometime Dan.
Because Ryu since i was a kid at the bar coin-op, Cody is awesome fun, Dictator is the style i like the most and teh Gief for being THE grappler of SF. Can't wait to kick Hugo's ass. Dan is incredible fun once you actually start learn it, specially against people that understimate him

KoF- Joe Higashi, Ralf, Robert/Kyo/Kim/Terry
Joe and Ralf are a must, the third does'nt have importance
or
Joe-Terry-Andy just for the FF team FTW

DS- Demitri
Because i'm boring and i like old style not-twilight badass vampire lord concept

PuzzleFighter- Ryu
Because is the fucking Ryu and because his pattern fit with my slow-big damage conservative style: tend to give to the opponent an easy escape but is hard for him to reply with equal power. And once you have the giant crystal ready for epic dmg last lines have sonofabitch pattern.
Akuma with that crazy pattern may be my 2nd choice, but i can't stand dat 20% less dmg resistence
Chun Li is ridicolous fun with uber dmg, but outside that Akuma matchup (+40%, lol) she get raped badly by everyone else

Right now my evolution of characters -
(in some cases these arent the character Im the best with, its more of a case that they are my favourite)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy - Sheeva, Sektor, Sub Zero. I dont know why. I was (and still am) awful at 2D fighters.
Fighting Vipers - Honey/Candy. Puberty hit me. HARD. Not the most legit reason to play as some I admit. Also she was fast and easy to use.
Dead Or Alive - Tina. Same reason as Honey and I likes me wrestlers.
Tekken 3 - Hwoarang, Yoshimitsu. Really liked them, still play as them now
Soul Calibur - Ivy, Nightmare, Astaroth, Cervantes. Loved the look and their game play style.
Tekken Tag - Hwoarang, Yoshi, Jun was cool.
Tekken 4 - Really cant remember.
Soul Calibur 2 - Same as SC1, also liked Rapheal, Mitsurugi.
Soul Calibur 3 - This is the start of the whole life interupting my playtime - so it gets hazy. But same as SC1 and 2. tried to play as Tira as well.
Soul Calibur 4 - No one new and Ivy was getting too hard to learn.
Tekken 5/6 - Same as previous. Bob was cool.
Virtua Fighter 4, Evo, 5, Final Showdown - Sarah was the only one I can do really. Wait...
Tekken Tag 2 - Mostly been using Marshall Law and Hwoarang
Mortal Kombat DA, D, Armageddon. My god these were garbage. Sheeva.
MK Vs DC - Kitana, Scorpion, Wonder Woman.
Dead or Alive 2, 3, 4, 5, 5Ultimate. Tina, Kasumi, Jann Lee, Hitomi and Zack. Simple character to pick up and play
Soul Calibur V. Nightmare, Cervantes and Astaroth mostly. I do appreciate the simpling of Ivy though.
New Mortal Kombat - SHEEVA. Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kitana. Yes. Sheeva. Im pushing Sheeva's bum for Summerslam.
Injustice. This really is more of a lol I'm playing as Batman, Joker, Superman, Wonder Woman thing than a serious attempt to be pro. Because its awesome.

To be honest I dont tend to only use one character in a fighter. Im not Pro. In anyway shape or form. Hence why I think I tend to go towards simple characters.

Oh so we're naming peeps who we main in all the fighters that we've played? Ok.

Talim, Xiangua, Cassandra (SC2) Best character designs in the game. I was drawn to them, played around with their movesets and they stuck with me. There personalites were the most interesting as well. Cassandra's sassy attitude was just awesome. Xiangua's playfullness (Just kidding ^.^) and Talim's peaceful demenor kept me hooked.

Talim, Cassandra, Yun-seong, Xiangua (SC3)

Cassandra, Yun-seong, Xiangua (SC4) While I did dabble with Talim on and off, I dropped her because she didn't feel right anymore.

Xiba, Viola (SC5) Viola's orb style was so out there it caught my attention. Doing those combos was just too much fun. As for Xiba I didn't main him at all at first. In fact I downright hated hi. I wasn't a big fan of rod users in general and I thought his personailty was a tad annoying. Patroklos was my secondary at the time. But, an online buddy of mine got sick of me using Viola all the time and since he couldn't stand Patroklos he made a wager with me. We have one match. The winner gets to pick who they want to main between Xiba and Astaroth. Whoever they picked, they had to stick with him for a week. Player matches, ranking and all. And there was no way in hell I was going to use Astaroth for a week. So I fought like my life depended on it, won and it was goodbye Viola and hello Xiba. I hated it at first but after a while he grew on me. In fact, I found him downright adorable and kinda fun to use. So after the week was over I still picked him from time to time and now he's one of my permanent mains.

Vega (Street Fighter)- I picked him because well, he was the only male character who didn't look like he was going to burst from having large muscles.

Pikachu and Jigglypuff (SSB) When the game came out I was going through that stage of my life where I would only pick girls and hated picking male characters. And me being the silly child that I was didin't know Samus was a female at the time so I picked characters that I thought looked cute and adorable instead hence the reason why I mained these two.

Peach and Shiek (SSBM)- Peach was always my favorite character in the Mario series. I picked her everytime she was available. Do you know how happy I was when I found out she was gonna be in Melee? Seriously. As for Sheik? She was really fast, looked awesome, and was fun to use despite the fact that I'm not really a huge Zelda fan.

Pit, Peach, and Ike (SSBB)- You ever have that moment where you see a character and you immedietly think to yourself "I don't care how he or she plays, I'm gonna main them"? Yeah that's how it was with Pit. I was drawn to him the minute I saw and just my luck, his playstyle was enjoyable as well. Fast, great recovery, projectiles and having the ability to reflect projectiles? Yeah, I loved him haha. I mained Ike because well, Path of Radiance is one of my favorite games of all time. Why wouldn't I? lol

Smoke (Mortal Kombat 9)-...Not gonna lie. I mained him because of his good looks. Sooooooooooo yeah....*cough*

Elliot (Dead or Alive) I don't even know why tbh.

From what I could remember. Could've sworn I posted in a topic like this already. Hehe, I wouldn't be surprised if this post differed from the last one xD

SCII
Yoshimitsu - stone fist mixups for days, amazing ringout game, and really good grab game for a non-grapple character.
Berserker - High damage, combos into his ground grab, and 213A gimmicks.
Necrid - amazing at close range with some strong ranged attacks, can close distance very fast with little effort, and has very few bad matchups with tools to deal with most characters.
Voldo - has tools to deal with every character, amazing rush down, can shut down some characters cheap moves, and amazing punish game even from long range.
Raphael - soulcharge cancel enough said.
SCV
Dampierre - no bleed over to SCII and is just fun to play with.
