I hope we can get an update from bandai Namco soon lol, SC6 has been in a bit of a lul of late.
 
This is a strong batch of CaS. In particular I like Ikara and The Dragon Empress. Ikara makes me think of a 90's villain in a cartoon or video game. I also like the way you worked the eight eyes into her design. The Dragon Empress is probably my favorite, she looks very regal, authoritative, and intimidating. I also think the dragon scales underneath her outfit is a nice subtle touch.

Normally I don't like bees but PhoeBee is surprisingly cute and like the armor it adds a nice touch to the character. Mei-Lin is a cute Kung-Fu girl an I like how you used SeongMi-na's skirt and oriental patterns to give 2B's outfit an oriental feel.

Your drawing of Franki is really good as well. If you don't mind me asking is it hand drawn or digital?
 
This insanely good bee is indeed scary and using the fox mask (which i also customized for my Horus) is a bloody good find and never before seen, and of course the over the top antennas, yikes ! Dragon empress is a stunner too. I am curiously less drawn to the ccc entry, if CAS don’t strike me silly at first sight, for me it’s a miss, but phobee had that effect on me : a CAS with sting.
Mei-lin’s hairdo is very clever too and your drawing is great...
 
@Wyldwarrior thank you, i think enemies from games such as final fantasy was an inspiration for Ikara, i wanted her to be creepy so her voice is a modified version of the alien. I'm glad you like the Empress too, i'm quite fond of her myself. i wanted her to be both benevolent and cruel ruler, also a bit of lore is that the weapons are also dragons that shape shift, one is gold the other purple. also what do you think of the extended eyelash look i gave her, i used it on a couple characters before this one.

the bee was just a little fun thing i started after finishing the spider character, the knight theme wasn't planned initially and she had hair, but it all came together when i gave her the helm. as for Mei-lin i wanted to challenge myself to use 2b's undergarment more creatively, i thought combining it with seeing mina's waist piece to create a chinese dress could work and then the kung-fu theme soon followed.

thank you for asking, it was done digitally. if you liked it i may draw more of my characters in the future. Interestingly, I think that SC6 CAS has helped me get better at designing characters.

@VILARCANE thank you, a lot of the bee's design had changed from my initial concept, the knight theme came to me once i tried the helmet. i saw your horus (BTW youv'e made a lot of crazy and cool characters since i last checked), i believe that mask is surprisingly versatile, the mirroring feature on it was extremely useful. I may have to create a queen bee at some point but i'm just thinking about it or now.

I almost want to change my ccc entry to Phoebee, but i'm not sure if i can.

thank you, i felt the hair piece was necessary for the kung-fu look. had to try a couple different ideas before landing on this one. thank you for the complements on the drawing, i've seen some of your drawings too, very nice.

Now that you mention Final Fantasy I can kind of see Ikara as a summon or boss in those games. I like the benevolent/cruel thing for The Dragon Empress it seems like a very dragon like trait, also very Machiavellian. The lore about her weapons being shape shifting dragons is also cool. I'm curious about why they serve her? The extended eyelash looks really good, I think it definitely is a nice touch to her design.

Well PhoeBee came out really well and the knight theme makes it seem like she is serving a queen which I feel like adds to the bee theme. I would definitely say that you succeeded in using 2B's outfit creatively.

I'm actually a little surprised it is digital, it has a hand drawn feel and texture to it(which is good). I would also love to see more drawings of your characters. The limits of the SC6 CAS might be what is helping you get better at designing characters. The game forces you to get creative because of its limitations which might help you think outside of the box a little or consider details you might not have thought of.

Thanks, i just regret people rarely post comments nowadays on things they like...Queen bee, go for it, give her a college cheerleader outfit haha ? i did a bee CAS too, some quick job which was posted somewhere in my thread for a contest, but it was different (had a beret on it and looked more scifi / manga / serious than yours, which i love. Indeed the fox mask is an item of huge and mostly untapped potential, because it looks shitty without sticker work :)

I dropped like 50 entries, so i don't know if this is disqualifying, but i think you should add Phobee... unless they changed them, last i checked, i didn't see any mention of being restricted to a single entry in the contest, and i couldn't pick one CAS, plus my stuff seem to be pretty popular in terms of views at least (i don't know how twitter works tbh, just created an account for the ccc contest :) Call me carpet bomber...

Thanks, just been drawing a full metal alchimist robot for my nephew who is a big fan, quick pencil sketch, i could post if you wish...cheers, digital painting is cool but nothing beats the feel of a pencil or fineliner hey !

- about the shape shifting weapons, i'm not really sure yet. i get the feeling they could be spiritual entities, and could be the embodiment of the power of her ancestors, IDK tbh.

- i see what you mean, perhaps it could be people are just waiting for the next update. for myself i would like to comment more often, but one problem i have is that using a tablet to write can be tiresome for longer responses. though this is probably not a good excuse.

- i'm not sure if i saw that bee, but i did see the one which you used the machine life-form head and the horse legs (i don't use that part enough, you seem to find a lot of good uses for it). i love how the style of your creature looked like the came out of monster flick or b-movie lol.

- i feel the whole character creation system is mostly untapped potential, not just the mask. seriously just adding more stickers/textures/objects would be enough to keep the mode feeling fresh, i also believe there are too many conflicting combinations as well. i could go on about issues like these for some time lol.

- i reread the rules and didn't find anything stating one per person, so i entered a few more characters today, thanks for the heads up on this.

-i wouldn't mind seeing the drawings if it's not a problem.

if me using the @ feature is annoying just tell me and I'll stop using it. also if either of you are on Xbox i can message you my gamer tag if you ever wan to play. anyway thanks for the kind messages.
 
The idea of the weapons being shape shifting spirits sounds pretty good. Your art is also really good you definitely got a new watcher and your Zamazenta looks like it could be concept art for the game.

The latest insect i posted (along with the red ant warrior) is in fact a hornet, using the moon sticker & duplication property of the face mask, hornets kill bees with ease, so that's why you called your pho-bee, unconsciously so :)
I'll check out your ccc entries then, go like / retweet mine if you please, not that it'd make any difference since PS is deciding in the end :)

Wow... just wow... these characters look so... breathtaking... i love all 4 of them.

PhoeBee : cute but deadly, like a real bee
Ikara : very intimidating, scary, and badass... love the 4 arms idea
Dragon Empress : such elegance... such a beauty... yet look so intimidating and deadly...
Mei Lin : cute, sexy, and badass altogether...

As for the drawing... well, i love it... she looks kinda like she can belong to an anime series, or perhaps in the Nier Automata game as a new cyborg type more advanced than 2B and A2.

- do you mean phoebee sounds a little like phobia, lol. might be interesting making a hornet character as an antagonist to phoebee.

thank you, i had a lot of fun making them. it seems you've described the qualities of what i was going for perfectly, do you have a favourite among the 4 btw?

some one else asked if the character was from an anime a while back, i guess she does have that look. i still need to complete nier automata, i'm currently on route B and i just need some motivation to jump back in, lol.

This is a really impressive batch. Your recreations are on point. I really liked the way you did the skull top for Risky Boots. Daisy looks like she jumped out of Mario and right into Soul Calibur. Pyra looks really really accurate as well. I do feel the Rathalos armor is off a little but having not played Monster Hunter in awhile I can't really pinpoint what feels off. I am however glad I inspired you with my Kaldred. Your Cassandra alts are phenomenal, you really nailed the looks you were going for in my opinion and I am struggling to pick a favorite. Momoka looks good. I like the mask and the details on the bow and armor bits. I do feel like Taki's armor would have been better for the arms though.
 
thanks, i'm glad you liked the recreations, there's another character i wanted to include but the pictures need resizing before i can upload.

as for the rathalos armour, it may be because some of the scales are in the wrong areas and the shoulders are shaped differently. this is a design i do want to revisit, it may take the form of a completely different character though.

i'm glad you like the cassandra alts, i find i'm using the first valkyrie costume the most right now.

i appreciate the feedback on momoka, she's changed a few times already since creation and i still don't think she's finished yet. i'll give taki's armour a try, it may be what's missing.
 
Love your CaS, your sticker / ExEq placement is on point. Small question though.
I know you made Mei-Lin a while ago, but how did you sticker her top to have the sleeves like that? I've been trying to replicate the effect, but I can't ever cover the shoulders decently. I wasn't planning on asking, but I'm really at a loss here.
 
thank you, the sticker placement is a little deceptive. this is because i made one sleeve white through careful manipulation of the basic 1 texture, while the other sleeve was done with 2 stickers placed with projection.

i'll try and get the formula for this when i can.

Carry on creating, i will probably make a short bonus vid on my famous guest char from the video (made an alt this morning) so stick around for an update :)...

Egyptian 2B and Knight Cassandra are really good. Your Patterning and colors are on point and I feel like you got the cultural aspects of the costumes across really well. I also like how you used Cassandra's mask as a pin for the feathers.
