Hello, i've been lurking around these forums for the past week or two, and I finally decided to post something and I just hope I'm not posting this in the wrong place or doing something else wrong. If I am, I'm sorry! So yeah, I've been playing Soul Calibur since SC2 first came out and I pre-ordered it. However, before SCIV, I never really elevated my status beyond.. *ahem* casual-at-best. So I got SCIV as soon as I realized that I remembered that I forgot it came out a long freaking time ago... -_- (failure-dom) But I finally got it! And with the addition of online play, I decided I'd do some serious versus play.
So thats when I found this amazing site filled with the info for me to escape scrubaliciousness.
So to further the learning, I delved into the Online play... really just to observe how people kicked my butt and with what, learning by experience, heh. Okay, without any further smalltalk, my questions. Okay, I've been practicing using all of yoshi's moves but I'm still bad at general things, like anticipating Low attacks and GIing.. I usually end up trying to GI too quickly and use it right before my skull gets caved in... So I'm wondering if there's any good way to practice getting better at GIs, matches against the AI have proven to be little help...
Oh, and the title of my thread, In one Online match, (the first one I actually won, yay, self-esteem!) I was doing pretty good against an Asty player with Golden Statue 3A,B and Doornocker and other simple stuff, but... Near the end of the match, He was about to kill me. I had a sliver of health left, he had about a quater of an inch. I figured he was gonna slam me, and the next second, I heard the death-scream... but it wasnt Yoshimitsu's! Before I realized what happened...(or what I pressed...) Yoshi reappeared behind the player, calmly sheathing his blade. At this point I exclaimed "WTF?" I'm not in the habbit of button mashing, but I've not a clue what I did there, or what it was. What was this Iaijutsu looking attack that I accidentally unleashed? Thanks for taking the time to read this... um... longer than I had expected post X_X and answering my questions. Again, hoping I didnt do something wrong, posting this here, thanks! ^_^
