What do you use? Standard PS3/360 controller? One of those mad catz fight pads? Fight stick?

^ My controller (well my other one, but it's pretty much the same).
I did a few modifications to it:
-Replaced Thumb Sticks.
-Replaced Dpad.
-Sanded edge of Dpad "ring" so there is more room for movement.
-Plastic insert underneath Dpad for better responsiveness.

I replaced the d-pad and buttons with my old DS2 controllers, and I took out the plastic little y thingy from under the d-pad. It helps with 1s and 3s, and the DS2 buttons look awesome.

Yea I took the Directional pad right from my old xbox s controller for the original console. Same goes for the thumb sticks.

I had the same mod done to my X360 controller, but I don't play fighters with it.

I use a DS3 with the analog sticks severed so that my thumbs don't hit them.

Never had an xbox 1 so I don't know how that dpad feels. I recently bought a Hori EX2 stick because I was sick of the 360 dpad. Since it has only 6 buttons I have to do some button combinations manually now. Still not used to it.

I wonder if you can mod a PS1 controller (below) with DS3 or Sixaxis parts without the analog sticks.

I highly doubt it because the PCBs are different sizes.

I cut mine because I got tired of my thumbs hitting the analog pads, but I can still use the analog functions along with using the L3/R3 buttons which to me is better than having a controller without any analog sticks.

The D-pad on this kicks the crap out of the dpad of the default xbox controller.. & since i also have the madcatz sf4 fightpad.. i can honestly say the dpad on my saitek pad is better compared to the fightpad too.. >_<

But the best thing about it is the fact that the placement of the dpad can be put in a more sensible position.. instead of contorting your thumbs trying to get to the lowered dpad on the default xbox controller.

...now if only this was wireless... >_<
