stupidity... right.... Well if you say so.
At any rate, let's just move on back to actual matchup analysis and strategy. Thread's been derailed long enough.
Ya mostly my fault. Sorry.

Yes. Because Mitsurugi is basically a better Leixia... at everything (except a double CE scales much less for us than for him). So, let me get this straight... this matchup is completely screwed for us, right?
But what if they 4B?Mitsu is the only char I see and think, "oh f*ck." I've fought lots of good Mitsus. That being said, I've been getting the better of them lately. They seem overconfident facing me and they're often stunned at how well I can keep the attack flow going, which is what I've always liked about Xianghua/Leixia. I've learned instinctively how to keep the pressure on. Frame traps can put him on the defensive and at that point I just throw the kitchen sink at them so they don't know what's coming and I can keep catching Mitsu when he tries to attack.
Press STARTBut what if they 4B?

You're overestimating Brawl's depth. Brawl isn't deep generally speaking. Meta-Knight is middle-of-the-road when it comes to depth. It's just that there are a bunch of very technique-deep characters in Brawl. Most of them are Top Tier, some are laughably Mid.And as for Mitsu being shallow, Meta Knight was too. Effectiveness beats depth.
As far as I know, she was the very best character in SCII, she was arguably Best or 2nd Best in III. I have no clue about I. She was laughably Mid in SCIV, but leaps and bounds better than Leixia. I'll gladly accept all of the SXS stupidity if they just give me back some useful lows.I haven't played it either but from what I have understood she was top tier top in all games except for SC4.

Hi! I understand what you mean. Although, she is high tier in 3 and 4 but when you look at the match up chart she's always the one that's bad match up for mitsu...from sc4, her match up with mitsu was xianghua 4 vs 6 mitsurugi and now they did the same to her daughter which is leixia 4 vs 6 mitsurug. No change? Not sure if fictional character nationality is a motivation for nerfing our favorite little chinese jailbait. Xianghua was God in 2 and 3 and in 4 she was high tier iirc so...
I agreed with you. In sc5, they took out so much low hit and tricky moves of xianghua and stated in the soul calibur wiki is that leixia style is a better version of xianghua. COME ON, what is make leixia better than xianghua beside her 3B, and 3 or 4 fews new moves set. You're overestimating Brawl's depth. Brawl isn't deep generally speaking. ok let talk about Natsu, she is faster or slightly equal to leixia in speed but look at her combo damage, she can do big combo in big damage while leixia can do combo with crap damage.
Well, im not compare Natsu and Leixia to be the same, im just saying that Leixia damage in combo should need to improve.Because maybe X's general character concept fares poorly against Mitsurugi's? Bad matchups can transcend through sequels. Luigi vs Marth and Link vs Everyone if you want some examples. <-- moar smash bros stuff lol
We all know that Leixia's damage is inferior to everyone else's. But you also fail to note that Natsu and Leixia are not the same characters, nor are they similar. They shouldn't necessarily have the same damage.
Also, SC Wiki isn't necessarily a 100% pure fact site and what you're quoting is an opinion. Better and worse is usually a matter of opinion. And that could be what Namco said. They obviously don't know what they're talking about.
I thought that the whole "Nooo half of my moveset is gone FUCK YOU NAMCO" mentality should have died down after the first few weeks? Not much you can do but accept it or play someone else.
