If you happen to have the official SOULCALIBUR V strategy guide, you might've thought about who was behind it, working hard on the frames, damage and other technical stuff. There were actually several well-known players, including the European SC Impact winner, Hyrul.

This week we'll go a little into the UK scene, Hyrul's SC Impact performance and, obviously, the guide.

Not much was made of Season's Beatings: Summer Slam over here on 8WR, but it was an EVO qualifier and we want to make sure we chat with as many players who are going out to these things as possible.

That being said, we managed some time with Sluch, who took 2nd place. A respectable name in the Tekken community, Sluch has transferred those skills over to SC, so I asked him about the transition, Summer Slam, other events he's been going to, and his opinions on an array of other issues. Check out the video and enjoy!

Interview Time! is back. This week's special guest is a dedicated Viola player. Yes - even though SOULCALIBUR V is quite new and 1.02 began the Viola bandwagon, there are players who picked her up earlier. One of these players is a former SCIV Setsuka player, Trace_AFJ from Spain.

Continuing the Hawkeye-fest that has been this last week or so, we managed to get some time in with the recent MLG victor for a more elongated interview. We asked the Chicago native about, of course, MLG and SCV, as well as bunch of other stuff.

It gets, shall we say, colorful at points. We also caught him during one of Chicago's weekly gatherings, so there are some interesting moments with the peanut gallery in the background.

We are living in a world of information chaos. Its source is the Internet - this is where rumours are made, this is where people are whining because their character has been nerfed or because Mitsu is overpowered. Among people covered in this chaos, however, there are players who are thinking straight and who, instead of spending hours as their alter-egos (trolls) stay in their labs, learn, train and eventually reach the top level. Such people should be looked up to and deserve some attention.

In the Interview Time! I will be interviewing various players from all around the SC world. First episode's guest is the winner of last week's MLG Fighter Arena, Hawkeye.

It's been a couple of weeks since our last episode, and we wanted to make sure we got some coverage for PowerUp, the most recent Evo event. So, we brought on MysticBill, who took home a respectable 3rd place and who we hope will represent the Midwest strongly when he goes out to Evo.

As usual, we discussed more than just this one event and touched on Bill's thoughts on how SCV is progressing as well as his thoughts on the recent MLG event. Bill is also going to be at Season's Beatings, so we asked him a little bit about his preparation for that event. And, per our wont, we bounce around a lot at the end, talking about pretty much anything we can think of.

Also, expect our next episode to be one of the 8 players at the MLG event that just past, so be on the lookout!
