Playstation blogs has revealed that the new Soulcalibur Lost Swords game (PS3 only) will be available this Wednesday in all countries for download. If we base our assumptions on the Japanese version that was released in February, we can conclude how exactly the game will be played.

NCR 2014 is a tournament held in Sacramento Califronia starting April 18th. Unfortunately, NCR has excluded Soulcalibur on the main line up along with several other games. However, John Choi (NCR Tournament Organizer) has given all communities a chance to set up their own side tournaments.

@Alex.J and @Nyawu have gone out of their way to contact the Norcal Regionals staff so that they can host a side tournament for SCV and SCII. Soulcalibur will most likely start April 19th (Saturday) at 12PM PDT. If you plan on making it out to NCR, you can pre register for games on their website http://norcalregionals.com/.

CEO (Community Effort Orlando) takes place in Orlando Florida (June 27-29) and is hosted by @CEOJebailey once every year. Since Jebailey is such an awesome tournament organizer, he listened to our community and we are now at CEO 2014! He is willing to give us even more love as long as we show up and support his event.

For those wondering when they can catch the Soulcalibur V action at Final Round XVII, we will be able to watch the top 8 finals live tonight at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific/1AM CET and will be streamed by Funky P. Make sure you tune in to catch all of the hype and upsets.

The pool matches leading up to top 8 finals are being recorded offline by Avylon, so we will be able to catch those matches once the videos have been uploaded.

With the revival of the Soulcalibur community online as well as offline, and the great results Thunder Dome (by Party Wolf) has been bringing, this tournament is aimed to keep the hype and interest flowing in both competitors and audience.

Just Frame Tier is an invitational tournament for ONLY the top players of the community, for a chance to win $100. This is an online tournament that will be carried out on PSN, and for best scheduling purposes it will be ran during the weekends, starting with the weekend after Final Round (March 22). Depending on the availability of the players, the amount of matches ran each weekend will be determined.

So by now we all know that the HD remake of SC2 was created using the European version of the game; which happened to be the final edition of the game when it came out back in the previous generation of consoles. Unfortunately, it also happened to be the worst version of the game; so bad that even at some European tournaments, they used the North American version!

Well this week, Bandai-Namco (formerly Namco-Bandai), released a patch that addresses some of the bugs introduced with the European version; as well as some of the bugs introduced in the HD-porting process. No word on whether or not this patch adjusts many of the issues with frames in the game, including the changes to clash windows... However, this is pretty good since I don't think any of us were expecting a patch in the first place.

Final Round 17 is just around the corner and everyone is getting hyped up!
