Maxx Dreamkiller & Chuck the Landslide have finished producing their first episode of Quick Steps, which will be a series of tutorial videos covering Soulcalibur V for those who are new to the series. In this first episode, the duo provides a rundown of the training mode in Soulcalibur IV which will be helpful to those who are new to the game and to the training mode in Soulcalibur.

IGN will be presenting a stream this afternoon for Soulcalibur V, where they will provide viewers an early look at the game and show a new boss that has yet to be seen. They will be playing matches for an hour, answering questions via Twitter, and giving away copies of the game.

Di has posted the first of what should be many in a series of interviews covering the players of Soulcalibur V. This first interview is with French Mitsurugi player Akire. Akire talks a little about his background and goes into his thoughts on Soulcalibur V and of the character Mitsurugi.
I don’t remember my first tournament. I can deduce a few things about it, however: it was sometime in 2002, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I probably went out like a scrub. My second tournament sticks more clearly in my mind. A veteran local loudmouth didn’t take me seriously enough, and I pulled out a completely unexpected win.
Of course, I then proceeded to get rolled, but the one and only Michael Jackson bought me a buffet pass at Golden Corral as my own little consolation prize. I didn’t need all-you-can-eat fried chicken and mashed potatoes to keep me interested, though — I was already hooked.

For Soulcalibur fans in the United Kingdom, to celebrate the launch of Soulcalibur V, Namco Bandai is teaming up with Gamespot for a launch event as they search for the top players in the UK.
This launch event will takes place on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at The Chapel Bar in Islington from 12PM – 6PM GMT, and will be streamed live on Twitch TV. Mad Catz will also be in attendance showing off their latest Soulcalibur V Soul Edition Arcade sticks. Ryan Hart and Kayane will also be attendance providing tips and partaking in matches.
