Algol/Hilde! (Serious thread)

No it's just some of us don't see the point in "fixing" or banning characters just because so called "pros" Whined about how ONE character was ruining the game for them.

Or some of us think it's Namco's job to fix their game's balance, not the community's?

If Hilde and Algol destroy the Soul Calibur scene, so be it. Blame Namco. They are the ignorant ones here who don't give a shit about the community or balance of their fighters.

It's a shame we're arguing amongst ourselves when the real problem is Namco themselves and their lack of concern to the community of their games.

Anyway, you guys are completely missing the point of this thread, which I feel is a HUGE problem with a vast majority of people on this website. You see something familiar, and you attack it or address it as though it is something you've delt with before. Yes, the subject is old, but his problem with it is not.

He is saying that Algol and Hilde have created an irregularity in the turn-out of the tournament he's apparently been going to for a while. If people don't show up to tournaments because the guest characters and even regular cast members are commonly accepted as "broken" then who is to say that this problem won't spread to other places and created even bigger disappointments to more important gatherings? This is not only about the game anymore, now it becomes a question of "should we allow this to effect our profits?" and i'm going to say this and hope that some of you can agree with me. I don't really care if algol is banned or not, I've kicked the shit out of algol. Hilde? Bah! She can be guard impacted just like the rest of the people on the roster, but if them being allowed in the game ruins the attendance of a tournament, then doesn't it make sense that they should be banned for the benefit of the community itself?

The mind-set of the community in its majority, as a whole, is more important than an arguement on what character is or is not broken. Atleast try to look past the fact that this thread is just digging up an old problem, because S-U has a point.

Blame the community. Balanced fighting game is a pipe dream, it's only a problem because the community doesn't accept that.

Can I blame both then? lulz

The community for the constant whambulance and Namco for the reluctance to patch the remaining bugs in the game (IE Random whiffing bullshit)?

Or we could finally decide to tell the people who's opinions don't matter to STFU once and for all.
Enough of the ball-carrying... If you don't know shit, you don't talk.

And let me start the ball rolling.

I know shit.
The number of people who don't outnumber the ones who do 10:1.
As my close friend, and one of the 2 Hilde's I'd trust the opinions of (the other being Ceirnian), said earlier in this thread.

STFU.

THREAD CLOSED.

Cry me a river or two, make a couple more threads.
I'll just keep closing them one by one, trust me, it takes less time to close them than it takes for you to make them.
There's nothing more absurd than a major event changing its rules ALONG THE WAY.

Some people have been wise enough to say this.
If the community didn't catch it. (And hell, you've had a LOT of hints and tips along the way)
Then the community lives with it, and fixes it the next chance they get.

Am I wrong to say, that if this Nationals supposedly does get "screwed" due to bad rulings, and those rulings are corrected right after.. It'll give an even bigger reason for folks to host National's '10?

Discussion closed until AFTER Nationals.

My warning still stands.
Any Ban topic made before nationals/evo ends.
Will be closed.
