T6BR tier list

I havent played tekken since the days of tekken 3. i Picked up tekken 6 and i think im gonna main Julia and have Bruce as secondary and Feng or Leo as tertiary. if julia is anything like she was during tekken 3 i think ill be just fine. im likin the game so far it seem to be really balanced. ive had my ass handed to me by so called low tier characters such as Zafina. thers no best character as far as ive seen from playing online. any1 can win with the right strategy, game knowledge, and character knowledge,,,or u could just have a shitty connection and have the best lag tactics ever lol. but actually ive only had 1 match where i lagged really bad. i think its cause the guy was in china and im in the us...but any1 else ive played with ive had almost no lag and quite a few lagless games.

The reason people lose to Zafina is ignorance. At first I thought she had a chance, but the more I look at her the more I realise she truly is garbage. I'm still going to second her, but she really isn't competitive IMO.

From what ive heard ppl are using her in tournaments. I havent went to practice mode like i need to yet. ive just been having fun online trying out random characters and finding out which ones i like. Ive tried them all out and now that i have a feel for a few its time to practice and learn some combos and some moves to get me outa tight spots...look up some tactics and of course brush up on basics(thats y ive been winning online anyway)

Yeah, how come Zafina is low tier in BR?

Her damage output is very high in normal pokes like df1,2 although I reckon she has a non existent throw game. Still, I find her power to be high for a low tier. Why is she low tier again? Frame data for the whole movelist even if Feng Wei in 5.0 was considered upper mid for just 4-5 moves?

In any case, best low tier ever. Hooray for low tier 'cause this bitch is a keeper for me.

I use Zafina and do mixups with her randomly online sometimes, don't really know what I'm doing, but when I press down and some buttons a low string comes out, and when I press df and buttons or just press some buttons I get mids, works well enough. How does she cancel out of her stance where she has one leg up? I'd rather ask than check for myself.

Scarecrow is the stance with the leg up and all of her stance cancels are with db.

Hope that helps.

I freaking f+3 like a retard sometimes thinking I could GI !

lawl?

Certain moves have to be back guarded like Heihachi's hurricane kick.

Luckily all lows can be neutral guarded. And you can also do the Universal Low Parry (d/f) to ground anyone who does a low, even in mid-string. Nice thing about Tekken 6 is that the ULP has a huge window.

wth back guarded? Never knew about that what is it? I thought guarding was just nuetral guard or down. And i knew about low parry but didnt use it much lol.

also pretty sure when i press back whilst guarding (or doing nothing) i just backstep and get hit lol

Finished with Lili's. I didn't list throws, 10 hit combos, nor simple things like FC+1 and u+1 for now. Added in the sheet for Lars but only translated the first line. I'll keep going later today. Made it open to the public to edit so please only contribute if you're certain of what you're entering. Be sure to use Tekken Zaibatsu notation and the American names of attacks.

<3 ID. I uploaded every1 to the spreadsheet now. The sheet names scroll really slowly at the bottom so when you wanna switch characters I suggest going to View -> List view.

I've closed off public editing right now for maintenance.

hey just want to clear up some things regarding blocking:

Auto guard is generally not a great idea. some attacks force you to actively guard, like someone mentioned. however, against pitbulls it can be useful, taking your mind off blocking and to look for a hole in your opp's offence, like a SS or low parry opportunity. but for the most part, you should just forget that it even exists. block with B.

and if you've been hit by the first hit of a 10-string, you can't auto block the rest.

low parrying is the best option in 2 cases: strings with lows in them but that don't end with lows (think Hwoarang or 10-strings); lows that are otherwise not launch-punishable. if those situations don't apply, then block low and punish. or you can interrupt/crush the low with a hopkick or something similar.

blocking 10-hits: all 10 hits have one or two points where there is a low parry window. you don't need to learn the whole combo in order to defend it, you only need to learn to recognize that it's indeed a 10-hit they're using, and where the low is so you can parry that ish.

you can't get hit by a high or mid if all you're doing is holding back. however, repeatedly pressing or tapping back will make you backdash, and you are vulnerable during that time and maybe even a little while after that. if you're curious about back dashes, go to TZ's T6 forum and find a thread called Jap/Kor Translations, or something like that. there's a good description of how to perform BDC in there.

i thought to block low is simply D/B. you might be able to get away with just D, but i don't think it's as reliable. any way, it makes more sense as D/B. i don't know what you guys are saying with lows being neutral guarded... what does that mean? you have to be inputting something to block low.

anyway, happy T6ing!

What are E, F, G, H , and I?

Is it bound, block, hit, counter? I have no idea what the last one is.

hey thnx a lot for that. The thread also helped me out a lot ill have to try that.

Random question if im holding back to guard wud i be able to do anything like spam a grab break whilst guarding like you do in sc4? I have no idea how to see what hand grabs u they all look the same to me. Add sum input lag and throw breaking might as well be impossible on reaction to me online
