Worst Ending in Great Video Games(Spoiler)

Yup there is a lot. I think the worst ending I had in a video game was in Fable 2.
Get to last boss, prepare for epic battle, 1 vs 1 agaisnt your enemy, ready to throw all the shit and craps you keeped ready just to kick his ugly bad guy face. Then the ''epic'' battle start in a tiny little place... Bang, one pistol shot, THE END! COME ON! You developers know players want epicness!

Also, Soul Calibur 4 endings or Street Fighting 4 endings doesnt count... as they are both fighting games, and fighting games endings have to sucks...

Go! Throw out your opinions =D

Valkyria Chronicles had a pretty lame ending. Not to mention the main character's best friend killing himself was stupid and unneccesary.

To be honest, I didnt like the ending to Persona 4. Don't get me wrong I LOVED them game play and what not. But the ending was kinda boring. Of course I am comparing it to Persona 3's ending which was much better.

Let's not forget, Fable 2's "final encounter" wasn't even a fight. You just open a box in front of him, then shoot him in the face. BTW, I've tried *not* shooting him (only because I wanted to blast him with my biggest spell, but they wouldn't let me =/), and after a while of talking, Reaver just shoots him instead.

Lame ending to a great game? Devil May Cry 4. Not really the ending, but the final boss battle. The venue was unexciting, the music didn't get me pumped, and it didn't really help that Dante got an AWESOME fight only a few minutes beforehand. It'd be kind of hard to top the last encounter with Virgil in DMC3, but still, it's like they weren't even trying.

God of War 2. Awesome fight with Zeus at the end which is then ruined by a horrible quicktime event that you have to keep replaying if you mess up. Your reward for getting through that lame event is Zeus getting away so that awesome fight you just had earlier meant squat.

Super Mario Bros. 2.

Fuck that noise.

Battletoads: Battlemaniacs. After all the shit you go through to get to the end, it should have been the secret of life or some hardcore toad porn AT LEAST.

Dead Rising. After Frank West beats the final boss, you get a top-down close up of his face while he is screaming... did he survive? Did he turn into a zombie? Is Maria O.K.? Who the fuck knows... thanks Crapcom for a fun, creative game with a shitacular ending :/.

dude there is more to the ending bro! u need to get the true ending...but i forgot how to do that!

Project Slypheed - 360

i won a copy at WCG 08 and when i beat it the next day, all i could says after the final mission "was this a demo?" it was so lame. To top that off the achievements were broken. it was a hit and miss with them.

Well, at least in DMC4 he is raping the face of the bad guy with a his demonic hand. Can be kinda cool in a way =D and, THE BAD GUY WAS FIGHTING BACK! That's the more important!! =S

I remember beating all 100 levels of Rampage on the NES back in the day with my friend. After beating the last level the screen just freezes with "Congratulations!" in small print at the top and you have to reset/turn the power off. I dunno what I was expecting, but damn we felt like shit.

Fallout 3 is a good choice.

The new Prince of Persia was a pretty bad ending too. They put you in control but they give you no options even though it seems like a choice should be there. You have to do what they wanted the ending to be or the game won't end. Oh and that ending completely undoes the entire game.

Well, true, the other endings are funny... Frank getting beat up my SpecOps when trying to escape in his drawers, him failing to collect all of the bombs in the underground tunnels, all the survivors escaping without Frank, seeing the helicopter pilot wait for him only to be jumped by a random zombie. Makes me wish I had a 360... sort of... yes... no... maybe.
