**********POT System**********

Most events have a standard setup - you get charged some money, they take some off the top and then put the remainder into the pot and sometimes you don't know how much that is...That can be dirty, we don't like dirty.

GPX does not do that. We have sponsored Guaranteed Pots - That means the amounts listed above are what your getting no matter what happens...

Example: random gaming event gets 300 Players to compete in SF4 @ $10 an entry - that means the pot is $3000 - if the event does not take anything off the top. 1st Place takes 70% = $2100, 2nd Place takes 20% = $600 and 3rd Place takes = $300. If the event takes any fees for administration that means the pot is smaller (we wont start assuming how much events take, this could take all night and I can rant for days).

GPX and GAMME will be doing the Guaranteed Pot as listed above for each tournament. AND we will also add 50% of every entry to the Pot! The remaining 50% goes to Charity ($5, broken into $1 a piece to each of these charities: Donate2life, The MS Society, Miami Children's Hospital, St. Jude's and Toy's for Tots - changed from Miami Food Drive - they want cans of food, so we will do a food drive for this instead)

What does that mean?

Example - 50 people compete @ GAMME in SF4, $10 Entry fee = $500 of which 50% or $250 extra gets added to the existing $5000 Pot = $5250

Example - 300 people compete in SF4 (basing attendance numbers on some of our tournaments from Boston, Texas, Indianapolis and Florida) 300 @ $10 = $3000 50% goes to the pot. So $1500 gets added to the $5000 pot = $6500.

you guys can do the math from there:

1st Place would take 70% = $4550
2nd Place would take 20% = $1300
3rd Place would take 10% = $650

Much better for the winners.

We decided this is the best way to show the community we want to give them a hype tournament with real money on the line.

We will be hosting other tournaments with other pots as well DDR: SuperNova and DDR: Extreme, Halo 3 / ODST, Modern Warfare 2, etc. However, we will keep the tourney info for our event pertinent to the subject matter of the SRK boards.

The www.gamm-expo.com site will be up very soon, our placeholder is up while we finalize our beta site. information will be available on www.gpxgaming.net site as well as our social networks and twitter announcements

Rules and Information again are available on the GPX Gaming Website - We will be constantly updating them to make sure it is as accurate and easy to understand as possible.

G.A.M.M.E. - Orlando, Florida - June 4-6 2010

I would like to thank IdleMind for putting up another $1000 of his own funding to raise the Pot from $1000 to $2000!!!

I noticed he made no mention of it on the post he did for our event, it takes a great person to make such a personal sacrifice foTournament Officials at GAMME which he accepted, GPX is very excited to have IdleMind working with us on our tournament events.

Hype it up!

I hope this has the intended draw, but at the least one can go and watch the 2D battle. Tekken will probably be huge too...

Nice! This will be awesome! Thank you for including Soul Calibur in the lineup. So rare to see tourneys for that game in Florida. I haven't played in an offline tourney in 5 months, and probably won't play in any until this tourney either lol. It's sad, because this is my favorite game!

Bring Mom! There is a huge mall attached to the event and she would be able to her thing for a day while you do your thing, even if your only coming for one day.

We are working closely with IdleMind (Jason Shumard) to make sure we cover this community as best as possible. We want to make sure players from all over, including the ones coming from France have as solid a competition as possible. The Goal is to keep each fighter community that needs help alive and kicking. Give them a home, I am aware of the drama going on in Denver with another event, and we definitely want to help give SoCal its place in the fighting community.

With IdleMind working on this department with us, we will definitely accomplish that.!

We have made a couple announcements on the SRK Post of this event, I will ask Idle to update this one with the new info, until then feel free to check the main post.

That's a lot of damn money! And a lot of games I play!

Even DOA4 is there. I might have to go to this now, like on some real shit.

It definitely is, but we have to thank Idlemind for that, we originally were not sure what to make of this title, as the community for this is scattered, Euro communities are thriving better, but with the bonus what it is I think we can do well for this title.

I want to work toward making GAMME the US national for Soul Calibur with Idlemind I think we can do it, but it will take some time and effort, I dont expect it to happen for this show, I think we will help the SoCal community trust us first, so possibly by 2011 or 2012 - by then would be another socal title, but at least we have the players know we have their backs.

Yo, it's Malice. I'll definitely be coming to Orlando. How I'm getting there, I have no clue. More than likely, I will just fly down there. But if Nigerians keep trying to blow shit up with underwear pentaerythritol tetranitrate bombs, then I will just road trip it with the rest of Philly.

Also, I don't want to see 2010 forego a national championship, so let's make it happen in Orlando. Because if it's not going to happen there or at least in Philly, then there probably won't be one until SC5 comes out since there's currently not enough interest in this game offline to do much of anything without help.
