I'm still not sure what a JF is. I read the Newbie Silencer entry on it, but the description didn't really make sense.

JF stands for Just Frame. As in an attack that requires exact timing or fastest input.

Setsuka's 1B:B won't come out unless you press the second B at an exact time.
Setsuka's agB will come out, but it can just frame if you input agB as fast as possible.

Any Setsukas turn up at Evo? All I can find are videos of Hildes and their doom combos...
 
i just have to say that actually stringing together 3 or 4 just frame moves for a combo in an actual match feels pretty damn good.
 
You're talking about on hit, right?

Well, there's not much advice except get the timing of the slide for 214~3a:B correctly.

However, on NH, you can also do bA for more damage, you'll just have to get the timing right.

If you mean CH, go for 6K, or 214~3B:B Here. They're higher damage combos.

If you mean on block.. Well, I don't know what to say to that.

Hello, everyone. I'm just a scrubby Setsuka, here to mingle and have fun.
Yes, my username is a sad attempt at humor.
Setsuka is my favorite by far, and I'm getting the hang of her combos at a slow rate, (mastered that Silver Moon Combo in Training. w00t.) but she's fun to use to where it doesn't matter how I progress. I'm more casual if anything.
My secondary is Talim, who I have a much smaller knowledge of. I love her moves and her character though.
It says my tertiary is Algol, but just disregard that. I can tell you now, I don't play that character seriously at all.
In fact, the sole reason I use him is because he has the most lol move ever. I use every variation of the bubble gun attack, and nothing else. I just run away and spam bubbles, typically resulting in me laughing my *** off the entire match, but always ending in a loss.

tl;dr: Hai der, I iz new. I like Setsuka and talim. Algol = lol
 
I just picked up Sets as a secondary Char. I spent the day with her in the training room yesterday and my first impression is how fast she is. I can't wait to get to know her intimately (err.... that didn't sound right but you know what I mean).
 
I wouldn't necessarily say that Sets is fast at all. It's just that she can cover a lot more distance/attack faster from certain ranges than most of the cast. Up close, I often feel limited.

To me, her best pokes are A and 2A, though I'm trying to work 3K and WR K into my game. God, I love that pushback on her regular A!
 
Setsuka's JF moves are still hard, but I'm slowly mastering their timing one by one.
1A:A:A seems to be the hardest for me, right next to JF umbrella after a A+K, B pop up.

It's a shame you couldn't come to Cannes, the tournament was insane !
I showed people that a good Setsuka can go far in tournament :)

Congrats to Traceafj for winning against malek in the tournament too !

Props to the Setsuka players cause I got a taste of her power and the skills it takes to use her, I'am happy that chose to learn her moves, but you guys gotta be supernatural to play with her.

Ain't saying she don't take no skill, but difficulty in execution =/= difficulty in implementation, you feelin' me dawg?
