You can catch anyone in the air! I've said it before. That's the fun of Taki's air grab. Kilik, Talim's jumping attack, Cervy's jumping verticals, Cassandra's jumping unblockable and all her and Sophia's jumping attacks, Amy's backward summersault - to name a few. Some you may have to be pretty close. Technically, if someone does a jumping attack and if you are within your Taki's 2A range, you can grab them in the air.
Kilik is the most fun because he has the longest time for you to do whatever while he's in the air. But no serious opponents would risk that unfortunately.

I remember being in a room where a Taki kept catching an apprentice out of 3B8. The apprentice was pretty scrubby but it looked so pretty.

I'll contribute since I like Taki to a certain extent. Yoshi's BT A+B, K can be air grabbed. It's an odd thing I found. Credit goes to YUNG x FURY.
Yoshi on a flea, DFG, SDFG can also be air grabbed. Yoshi's T5 and T7 can be air grabbed. MED B can be air grabbed. Excuse my intrusion.
 
Some of these air grabs don't happen often so they are pretty cool moves. One of the reasons I stick with Taki.
 
Good Yoshimitsu Vs. Taki matches can lead to very funny situations.
Super Dragonfly B get's me everytime, lol!
I just can't resist to try Air Grab, which loses to that. Painful :(
 
its sad that kilik users dont realize they have no chance against an experienced taki user, i dont get why online players lvl 100+ even use kilik, im proud to say that out of almost 20 000 online battles, i have never lost to a singe kilik user

Well I can answer this for you, cause majority of kilik users actually don't know how to use Kilik lol. Especially online, usually their just presing buttons hoping something ok will connect.

I promise you, it's a Huge disadvantage for Taki against Kilik. Imo it's 8/2 Kilik's favor. Yea, it's that huge a gap.

Kilik's WR B is so good against Taki due to it's damage, is fairly quick quick, has a built in step, and a TC. Also if Taki blocks it, it puts her right out of range for Kilik to step back and not get hit by 6B and whiff punish. He also has other tools to keep Taki at bay and do damage, I just mentioned that one cause it's the most annoying.

i call bullshit, like i said, i've never lost to kilik, and played with some pretty good kilik users, idc what you guys say, or anyone else says, taki is superior to kilik, once you know all of kiliks moves, it becomes impossible for kilik to win

Lol, ok who's troll account is this? If this isn't a troll account, then I'll stop you right there before you dig yourself into a deep hole that you cannot get out of.

My first question to you is, how many Kilik user's have you played that was not on PSN? If you say 0 then the point becomes pretty irrelevant.

Range, knockback, and fairly decent speed gives Kilik a crazy space game against Taki, making it very difficult to get on the inside with her. Hover is completley removed from her arsenal as Asura Dance will jump the low and counter the mid. Both of these I mentioned, is fairly difficult to do online and you will not see but a few Kilik players (I only knew of one) that will use this. I'm sorry, but 96% of the Kiliks you see in Ranked (even player matches) really do not know how to use him......at all.

As much as I would love for Taki to bash his face in, a solid Kilik will give her an extremely hard time.
 
ChronoCross889 is obviously trolling; Kilik's advantage in this match-up is pretty clear for reasons Tha_Shogun already stated.
 
I think Taki is able to give Kilik a really hard time too.
Her good Kick Combos make Asura really dangerous to use.
But yeah i really hate his WS B.
Is it step punishable with bomb? when you're really fast? Would be cool.
Really punishing with bomb online and being called lag abuser hah.

Edit: When you use bomb not as punishment Kilik can AsuraDanceTechJump you, which hurts.

Even though Kilik is generally a higher tier than Taki she is one of the hardest match ups for him.
His high tier comes from good match ups against others, not Taki.
I have played offline with a Kilik/Xianghua player(training and tournament), and even though she beat me mostly with both (she has way more offline experience and is generally better than i, beat me in Taki mirrors too) her Kilik was the smallest of my problems.
Yes i lost to her Kilik in the tournament but that was more due to me showing off bad online habits than because of the match up.
 
D.I.N.O, FleshMasher, you can't be serios. It's match from hell for Taki!!! 7:3 on open stages, 6;4 on close in Kilik's favor. He always have damage advantage on Taki!!! He have many spam moves (WS B - simply gdlk against Taki!!) + Azura + command grabs. Better GI game.
It is never easy against good Kilik.
 
WS B setups are EZ...just 6~33B. Her 4B can counter SO MANY of his Telegraphed B's....A+K Mind Games Closes the gap EZ....Asura is not a Problem for Taki.

Taki also has one of the BEST Gi Games....

So Rufus....YOU Cant be serious.....find a Kilik player to face me and I'll show you (Online even, I aint never scared....)
 
Asura is a problem for all. JustAsura is a big problem !! As Shogun already wrote, he can easely deal with hover with it, and many other options.

BB autoGI with 4B???.... Who the hell using BB when playing Kilik? It's just useless garbage against any character.

You can't just easely step WS B, Kilik have good antistep options - A+K, 22_88A, gdlk command grabs.

If you don't think Taki has Good Options Post GI, you're not playing her properly...

WS B is so EZ to see...2A WSB, 1K WS B, Step and Punish....Simple.

Honestly dude I don't think you know how to deal with certain moves, thats all. Every Move in the Game has a Use, every Move in the game can be beat...

Dont troll with Rufus my friend! He is IMO one the best Taki player i ve ever seen. Watch his matchups with Belial. Honestly speaking I learnt a lot about my Taki gameplay from watching his matches. And I dont think anyone in States can even his taki mirror.....
