Like I said, I'm not going. I'm working on that day and I haven't bothered doing a shift swap to get that day off.
As long as there are SC tournaments in Toronto that ban a non-broken character that someone in Toronto mains, and people tell them to "too bad learn someone else", you will not see OOFMATIC aka the Master VADER in a tournament. It's just the way it is. Just be happy the real OOFMATIC won't be there Russell, so you can keep winning.
And Mr. Rugi may not be showing up either, but he'll be there in spirit. And that's who I'll be rooting for.
Unless Wallace is there, then I'll root for him.

It's quiet because I haven't started any drama lately. I'll see if I can come up with something new and original to get people riled up or pissed off about. Going back to ban drama seems to not work so well anymore, since it's so overused.
P.S. People who want to ban characters who can clearly be beaten are PUSSIES who need a reason to make up for their lack of skill. Man up people. I'm extremely disappointed with how pussified and American (no offense to Americans) this community has become. As Dino would say.. it's "sadd" (extra d for emphasis?)

It is true that there are those who want to ban a character because they felt some character(s) are over-powered, but there are also those conservatives who believe that certain characters should be banned because they don't truly belong to the series.
The way I see it is that this is a SC community, and the onus of an SC community is to promote a competitive SC environment in hopes of what? giving newcomers an idea of competitive SC knowledge.
For such an environment to be broadcasted throughout the world wide web, there's the likelihood of gaining spectating fans and as such, fans will adore their favourite character(s). Here comes the problem, when you have characters that are likely not to extend throughout the next SC series then what? It will be likely that a competitive scene will lose such an audience something which the conservatives would thought these types of audience off as being spoiled into loving character(s) who weren't truly belonging to the series.
More-or-less, conservatives would regard the guest characters as well as the bonus ones (based on SC4's version) as just a teaser; not something that should've been taken into serious consideration for their so-called high-level competitive game play.
So not everyone is a pussy for banning certain characters when there are those conservatives who ban just because it is their way of preserving the SC culture.

This mentality is why you lack real skill at Soul Calibur and why need your Hwang/3AAB crutch. Which is sadd considering how long you've been playing. If you were really as skilled at the game as you created the illusion with when you played Hwang, then you're overall grasp of the game would have made you equally good with Sophi or any other character you decide on. Yet your Sophi is clearly sub-par. You remind me of tier whores who use SC3 X then SC4 Amy or whoever to create the illusion that they are elite. Tell them to learn and be elite with some other lower tier character and you'll see what their real skills are, and how weak their mind games are without a braindead crutch.
That's why I'm far more skilled at the game than you Vince. I can learn whoever I want, bring them to or near the level of my main, and still compete well against players who dedicated years to one main.
What can you do? Oh yeah, 3AAB to make you not have to think so hard. hahaha
P.S. I'm free on Wednesday and can host a gathering at my place. Here's your chance to prove me wrong. And I don't mean with words, beat me in the game. Do it. I wanna see myself proven wrong, because I highly doubt you will.
