GameSpot interviews SoulCalibur V Producer Tago-San at Comic Con 2011 and shows off some new gameplay footage featuring the recently confirmed Ivy. Looks like she will only have two stances this time around!

Taki's still alive? Does that mean she's still a usable character or that she's just there as a story line point?

So Chie is the chief of Fu-Ma clan.... wasn't she Li Long's lover, and Taki childhood friend? Nice to know Taki's alive lol.

Zwei seems like a mysterious character. Can't wait to see him in action.

Probably story line point, for now.
But I just got a gut feeling that she'll either be announced later on this year or early next year, or they might make her DLC.

Congrats to SC fans. I saw the gamespot footage and after my own analysis and observations the game looks damn good competitively speaking and I have to say really really fun. Seems to have quite a bit of depth and the new infinite stage is very very welcome. I'm 100% convinced. The only thing negative I could say is graphics need a touch up but whatever.

 

Chie's the leader of the Fu-ma ninja? That's unexpected. I wonder if Li Long and Chie's child will show up in the game (can't be Natsu because she's too young).

 

Taki is alive, maybe not playable but I'm sure we'll see her in Natsu history.

I almost agree wit u 100%... Until u said Graphics need a touch up....lol

 

So what I learned from this is Brave Edge is like a JF-Auto GI type thing that cost 1/2 Meter. And Critical Edge is just a JF-AT that can be added on to combos. So just JFs.

It gets pretty dark when UBs come out though. And it almost looks like GCs leave them open for Free Dmg/Force GI

 

So my thoughts:

They're planning ahead this time. That's nice to hear. It's been pretty clear they've been making shit up as they go along story wise for a while now and it's shown. Sounds pretty ambitious.

Natsu has a great demon in her? Nice plot-point and from a game play perspective I guess this means she'll be able to do possession too. Hah, nice! Comes from a different source than Taki's so it makes the characters that much different while she hangs onto Mekkimaru. Makes perfect sense they'd hand her to Taki then. Taki being alive and well is good news. I can smell that DLC cooking and I don't know how I feel about that.

I'd like them to do it both ways to be honest. I don't mind spending that money on my beloved SC.
