dave hit it exactly on the head. we ALL go through those three conversations. allow me to paraphrase them for you...every gay has been through them. i think dave is somewhere between conversations 2 and 3, and has been thinking about 3 and his approach to it for a while now, hence his understanding. he'll be joining us shortly enough.

these "conversations" can happen between you and your best friend, your mom, your wife or even yourself, but they always happen and here is how they all begin;

1: "if someone, besides me, has _____ thoughts, what does that mean?..."
2: "ok so maybe that someone was me, but it is ok to recognize a good looking guy. i'm still straight and normal...."
3: "i like boys now..."

call it concern>denial>embrace. some poor schmucks get stuck in the middle their whole lives and never find true happiness outside of truckstop bathrooms and public parks. hell i spent like 15 years there.

I'm gay and I completely agree with Lobo. I always denied it. I thought it was just you know...normal to like recognize I like some boys. I thought it would go away and I would love girls like my classmates. Soon I realized I am gay and there was nothing you can do to change it, some psychologists say It may bring harm to you trying to change the unchangeable. "I have made my decision"~ Sophitia and I accept my self rather than live in unhappiness and pain, because I wouldn't accept who I am. My EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE parents weren't too happy, I'm an 18 yr. old teen and they could've kicked me out of the house, but nevertheless their love for me won and they still love me to this date. Nothing really changed that much. Although I recon it's not the same for everyone. I just truly hope everyone finds happiness within, and are comfortable with who they are. :D

The SC community has a reputation for a larger percentage of gay members than the norm, that's for sure. Why that is, I think might be a more interesting question.

Is it coincidence or are there common qualities of the series that are a draw to gay people... but that being said, can one really quantify all gay people as similar.... oh god, brain overload. Years of logical deduction mixing with political correctness and non-nationalistic life-style group-to-culture comparisons overwhelming...kasjdflajsfdka;ldkfjklasjflaskjf;af

That doesn't sound bad. My entire family is extremely homophobic, they don't even call gays as "gays" or "homosexuals" but only fags, make fun of them everytime and treat them as something sick and inhuman. They would have killed me if I said I like guys. I still use "fat guy mentality" as my excuse for not having a girlfriend but it's only a matter of time before they start suspecting something. I don't know what will happen to me.

I suggest you don't say anything, and just deny everything. Then when you're older and have your own house and you're independent then you can say something. If they don't like it, they'll eventually get over it. If for the worse they decide not to ever talk to you again...don't worry. They will. If they love you. Like my parents are extremely conservative, but they loved me either way. Most of the parents love for their children surpasses almost anything. In this case my parents love me so much they don't care if I'm gay. You know every parent is different, so I suggest you stay hidden until you're prepared to defend yourself from the cruel world.

To all the gays like me here's this cool video. Gays in the closet, it's not this easy so I suggest you stay hidden until you can fend on your own, just in case.

I don't mind having gay friends, just please, please don't hit on me seriously. I don't mind taking a complitment from a gay guy though, because if a gay guy thinks you attractive than 8x's chicks find you attractive.

Considering I used to think a couple people on here were chicks, but they instead turned out to be dudes. Dudes who like men. Also the fact that some dude that you might be passionately in argument with, is actually a hardcore lesbian. I gotta say...

If 8wayrun was a club, you wouldn't want to get drunk. You don't know who you might wake up sleeping next to the following day.

Anyway the poll is a lie. Everyone knows unless you're married with kids like HRD(who might not be immune), on 8wr you're gay until proven otherwise.
