[Chicago, IL] anyone out here play?

Yeah...I'm not so sure if I'll be able to make it tomorrow... Having some huge problems with the lady and might be out of commission for a while...

Completely understandable man :/ I can understand how it'd be, hope you're ok and everything works itself out. I know im just the weird new guy but if you need to talk I'm here.

I'm warning everyone ahead of time if you guys bring a TV I will be streaming a combination of top shot, future weapons, and taboo on mine if you guys dont mind.

Well actually I'm the youngest member by a handful of years, I think everyone else is over 20. As for the TV statement they brought a standard definition TV over to my house last time since HD TV's tend to have lag. If they bring it over again I would probably play random TV shows off Netflix on my own TV.
 
Actually, I 'll need to decline on tonight. My wife just got back from work, and she's really not feeling well. I just got done fighting a pretty nasty bug myself. On the off chance I'm contagious, I don't want you (or your family) barfing up a lung for your 18th. Perhaps next time. Thanks for the invite, though.

As for the TVs -- we don't even own a CRT of any sort anymore... nor do we really have much of any place to set one up. I could possibly invest in an extra table or something, but if CRT is a must for hosting, I don't think my place can foot the bill... at least not with our current equipment.

ADDENDUM: With regards to displays, what about the ASUS VH236H monitor (AKA the Evo monitor) as a compromise... or is it CRT or nothing?
 
Probably going to try to play at Tokyo's Thurday and Friday and then HumanTyphoon's on Tuesday for last pre-SJ practice. Just typing it here in case anyone may want to drop by.
 
Im sure there is public transit around and we can scoop u from the Train Station........... Unless u host a gathering.
 
Either way would be good actually, whatever you guys are up for really. If you guys can come over there won't be pizza though =(.

What he is trying to say is, U NEED TO COME PLAY WITH US MORE!!! LOL! Get your skills up so you can take down some of the top players. Online doesn't substitute* for offline experience. Playing with us, (If it hasnt already) will boost your skills and knowledge on the game.

Lack of Offline Casuals = BAD RESULTS AT TOURNAMENTS. LOL!

I've acutally become a shit load better just the few times I've played against you guys. Plus, not to get mushy on the forum it is some of the best times I have outside when rachael is here; and when you guys were over while she was visiting was a total blast for me even if it wasn't obvious. I would do it more; I'd come tomorrow or I could check with the family now to see if you guys are welcome to come over some time soon if you're willing like this weekend or something.

Also my results wouldn't matter if it weren't for you two always running your mouth how "chicago" is going to own everyone! Now I'm dragged into that so can't let everyone down -.-
 
Nah, I was actually talking about the money thing, even though he does need to play more for maximum domination.

My family should be fine guys, don't worry about us. Next time we hang out I do have some stuff I want to tell you guys about regarding how long I might be around in Chicago. On money I was never given an actual number how much money you guys WANT, like for me to give you, for doing all this with the tournament and putting up with me.

lol results aren't that important to me, I'm just not that driven a player. I just want to get good games while having fun and meeting people. It'd be cool to do well but really not the end all be all.
