SC3's Character Creation had a shit load of freedom than SC4. My created Taki didnt have alot of clothes on in SC3, but in SC4, my Taki had so many fucking armour on it looked like he was a fucking Sigfried:sc4sig1: (a knight) instead of a Taki:sc1tak1:(a ninja). The reason why was to keep his Attack,HP, and Defense up. I't was some Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some may have liked the SC4 Character Creation. All I know is that my black ass didn't.............
 
For any of the returning characters, I'd love to be able to use old costumes of theirs from previous editions. I wouldn't mind being able to use Ivy's second costume choice from Soul Calibur III again. Hopefully they can make that possible, because I prefer a lot of the older costumes.
 
Layering. Puh-lease. More voices, clothing, a (very basic)height slider, ability to turn armor break system off if it isn't gone already >.>
 
Oh yeah, armor breaking off is one thing that I dislike. I mean, showing equipment destruction is fine, but armor vanishing from parts of your CAS, especially? In the end, becoming almost naked? No thanks.

Yeah it really sucked!! Every thing about SC4 sucked. And I'm still sore about it. That's why veterans find it so hard to accept the changes for SC5. I'm open to try new things, but somehow I still fear they will fail to meet the expectations of loyal customers/fans in a desperate attempt to gain a broader and less intelligent customer demographic. One thing they must do is add more layers back onto CaS. Underwear, Garment, and Armor. Not garment versus armor! Not underwear versus distinctive feature such as tattoo. I hated my appearance depending on my fighting effectiveness. So I'm gonna sit on a toaster-oven so that i can have a black ass that didn't like it too!

According to what i heard from a interview, Dashi said that they were going to do more things to Character Creation. He didn't go into details. I hope that word "more" means something good.............................................
 
Hope they realised the many shortcomings of SC IV's CAS System, and do a SC III + BD + More 1337 stuff for the ultimate experience.

I haven't seen leet speak since Megatokyo and it's been a long time since I've read that. Man you just keep on getting cooler! first wesker and now this.

but I agree on a combination of SC3 and BD along with some new (hopefully better) stuff.
 
I'd like more samurai gear for starters =D, as in more variants. Like say

Gear

Hachimaki - headbands, sometimes enforced with metal strips

More types of Samurai Armor
Better looking Samurai Kimono / Kendo Master outfits

Weapons

Manriki - Short chain weapon with 2 steel weights on the end
Naginata - Long pole weapon with curved blade on the end (maybe additional for Mina)
Nodachi - Large 2 handed sword (maybe possible weapons for Siggy/Nightmare CAS)
 
Gatsu gameplan for a better world

MORE LAYERS
-the under layer have to be split into upper body and lower body
-a facial hairs layer: moustaches,beards
-a skin layer with tatoo, scars, paint, make up and strange stuff
-neck layer (example necklace) and back layers (example cloacks/capes) should be 2 different things
-special layer* (see after,in STYLE)

WE NEED MORE
-waaay more faces,something like 15 young,15 adult,5 old. Not counting various version of the same
-for males waaaay more high detail(no mono-colour shit,thanks) clothes,dueller jacket get spammed for a reason
-for males the under layer need waaaaaay more stuff,first of all a sleveless shirt without need to become a Voldo

CUSTOMIZATION
-ability to select "only left" or "only right" on twin objects (like example shoulder pads,arms protections,leg armors)
-stuff with options: example,instead 4 dumb capes,1 cape with 10 texture variants (ex. symbols,animals,araldic stuff etc)
-give me at least three (good, neutral, evil) different facial expressions,it will make the CaS a lot less lifeless ingame
-slash effect colour option,please. No more huge barbarian and evil warriors with flashy pink slashes

BODY BUILT
-for males the muscle setting should not be just a texture change. Size+50 Muscle-50 should be a fatass
-for females,bewbs =/= muscles. If i want a big bewbs babe i must not be forced give her Swarznegger's shoulders
-height editor should be possible,but only with HEAVY character/style related restrictions. The CaS should work with identical hitboxes and range of char you're copying. SC is a serious BeU with a editor,not the contrary

WEAPONS
-obvious, more weapons we get variety get a boost,so i hope to see more
-more etnic difference,example: a cool thing of Mitsu arsenal is that he got european and middle east swords too, it allow you to give totally different approach from the "samurai style"
-more variety,example: a ugly thing of Mitsu arsenal is the lack of variety... i mean wtf,only 2 not-katana type
-more difference of shape: this may give a dramatic boost to the entire CaS. I mean make weapons VERY different... as crazy it seem gameplay wise only thing that matter are hitboxes, so as long animations fit there is no reason to limit.
Things like alexandras style with very short spear+big shield, or axe+shield, Mitsu with a light axe or a light mace,Sieg wielding an halberd or a lance and so on... if every style got 2-3 total different weapons it will give an epic boost to the variety(or at least the illusion of) without need bs unbalanced "bonus styles"
-joke weapons are fun,just chose things that fit with SC theme/age. Example Cassy bakery set is awesome,Astaroth rubber red hammer is fucking ugly

STYLE
-Haircuts,they have to exagerate a lot more
-Etnic stuff > bs fantasy stuff. Want more European, Asian, Middle-East, African stuff over WoW-like armor rejects
-Special layer*: CaS usually are waaay more "normal" than Official Char. Give us a layer full of crazy stuff,like monster or animal or even artificial body parts,or luminous eyes,or SE corrupted features or... but also realistic but still epic original things, list may go on forever
-Put a different not human option for voices (like beast voice of SC4 npc),is weird see a beast-demon CaS with normal voice,it seem so halloween
-PLEASE,please please. A male standard(can be the same for all styles) winning pose option for when you give him female style

it was cool when I first saw my CaS character's ending. I was like, "ohh, my character has their own ending?.......what? is that it?" I would like to see my character interact with the other characters. I know it requires a smidget bit of more effort but let's give my character some dialogue. maybe the choices you made throughout story mode effect the end. My CaS character defeats the boss or as SC2 called it destined battle and the characters have an intro and outro cut scene where they briefly exchange words. it would also be cool if you could suggest another CaS character to be another's enemy, friend, rival, relative, etc.
aww hell just make a mode solely for the CaS character's. SC3 started with that but then dropped it.

imho they can just divide it in "class"

Using SC4 as example,i mean something like
Warrior: Night, Asta, Rock, Lizard
Knight: Sieg, Hilde, Alexandras
Ninja/Assassin: Taki, Yoshi, Setsuka, Tira, Voldo
Duellist: Raph, Amy, Cervy
Martial artist: Mitsu,Yunsuck,Xian,Kilik,Talim, Mina, Maxi

Then you give to each class story/cutscenes/ending, taking this example it will be just 6 different "path",not huge work
Still epic generic,but infinitely better

But maybe,since they promised SC5 story to be waaaay more deep/complex/cinematic it will be impossible,so i'm fine if they do even only one "that Generic Warrior" storyline for CaS

Personally i will like a story mode based on real world where you travel and meet official char (example Mitsu in Japan,Sieg in Germany and so on),with different shop around the world to buy CaS stuff and weapons... i mean something like japanese weapon shop to buy katanas, german armor shop to buy western armors and so on... and maybe some hidden (the old labyrinth?) place where you can find all the most crazy stuff
SC3 with all his story characters was great btw
