I don't see how Siegfried's ending can be canon without them completely changing it. It doesn't make sense that he crystallized himself and the whole world and then 17 years later he's back to leading the Schwarzwind. Hilde's ending would make sense because he actually lives. Siegfried could be helping Hilde find her father and rebuild her kingdom in return for being pardoned. Whether he fathered her kids or not is still undetermined but I think it's likely he did.

For Maxi I think his goal in this game is to eliminate the group that is responsible for the Astaroths. Since killing one Astaroth just means he'll be replaced by another Maxi decided to go to the source and put a stop to them.

And Tira. God knows what the hell Tira is scheming in that twisted mind of hers. I'm certain Nightmare is involved somehow.

Oh! I apologize for saying that then! I should of read that sooner... This is wild information. And most likely they could of just considered Sophitia's ending canon and just left it at that. If anything yes they could of made Hilde's canon at the same time since Sophitia's ending didn't directly involve Siegfried. And yes, it's better if his goal was to go after the Priest rather than Asta otherwise the guy with create the perfect golem by then. xD

Namco is simply continuing a story for Voldo where Voldo thinks Vercci is with him because SE gives him visions and hallucinations. It was the same in SCIV. If Voldo is still seeing Vercci that means Tira/Sophiemare or Nightmare is still influencing his judgement.
 
I think Hilde's ending was likely canon. It would explain why Siegfried is not a crystal right now. The fact she has two children that our "hopes" for the future likely means that the children are too young (or they would be in V). One does have to wonder exactly who knocked her up (and who she let knock her up...Siegfried?). The whole thing with her father being missing is suspicious. Shame we won't know the actual canon until the game is released or someone tells us.

edit: just realized that the fact Hilde is with Siegfried's old gang means the likelihood of actual relations (ships or not) is all the more likely. I find it curious though that she lost the Kingdom of Wolfkrone...maybe Raphael got bored and decided to take it over.

In regards to Maxi I agree with the poster above...with the defeat of one Astaroth and the appearance of a new one Maxi is likely going to be hunting for the source. Wonder if the source will be a character that we fight.

I am also curious if Lizardman (Aeon) will be human in the next game (even if we don't play as some of the characters I think there may be throwbacks to other characters not playable...like Taki for example.

Its possible when SE's powers were unseen for 17 years the kingdom was destroyed? Also I found the fact that Ostreinsberg hasn't been shown really suspicious I'm assuming Namco is pulling a "And the swords clashed in The Lost Cathedral." type of thing with Ostreinsberg so they can move to another final battleground.
 
I find it interesting that Mitsurugi might actually be getting plot: "a martial artist is claiming to be his eighth brother. It seems likely that at least one martial artist character will be in the game and will be male. The other thing that is interesting to me is Sophitia being killed by a Malfested. I am also curious why no mention of Cassandra has yet been mentioned (unless she was with Sophitia when the Malfested killed her and also got rid of her while it/he/she was at it.

I was thinking the same thing! I mean, she's a VERY prideful Princess/Queen. So you'd think that she wouldn't chose just anybody. I wonder who... I'm assuming it'd be another royal somewhere in Europe. But they must have some connection with SE otherwise they wouldn't really be missing right? I wonder what her kids look like too... And yes! I really wanna see if they keep Lizardman in the game. But wouldn't changing him back to his human form just give him Sophitia's moveset? And I thought that there was nothing else he could really do about him turning back to human form anyway.
Edit: I also agree with what you said about Mitsurugi. He finally not just a samurai with a lust for fighting anymore. I need to see my Cassandra!! Dx
 
If the ending of the last game for lizardman is to believed he at least got his soul back. Lizardman is a popular character and they could easily add him back in with the excuse that lizardmen live longer so even the age wouldn't matter. I sadly do not think he will be returning...only 5 or so slots are left for the returning cast and there are other characters more essential to the story.

Still I really do hope that the story mode is as good as it ever has been and that they do cameos of older characters be it in cutscenes or something. I'd like to find out what happened to everyone regardless if they are playable.

Cass was mentioned to have raised Patroklos and I won't believe that Sophitia's dead until I don't see a female Nightmarish looking villain doing TAS B

I heard that somewhere as well. And yeah i reeeaaally don't want to see the whole sophitia/nightmare thing happen.
 
All the returning characters are going to sit around and play with man/lady parts while Patroklos obtains Soul Calibur after punching Siegfried in his old man nuts, then Siegfried's penis falls off and it gets eaten by Yun-Suck.
Sophimare's ghost coxes Pyrra into having sex with wielding Soul Edge. Then Patroklos and Pyrrha duke it out until Z.W.E.I. and his whore Viola arrive on the scene. Viola takes her top off does magic tricks to distract Patroklos. Z.W.E.I. punches Pyrrha in the boob and then takes Soul Edge. Raphael shows up after getting a blow job from Cassandra, I mean, mastubating tripping on arock and says "AMY! AMY! LOL WHUT R U DOING WIT DIS GAY WERWOF?" Viola retorts with "I'm Viola." Raphael crinkles his nose and says "No, I am a man, therfore I am always right." "Oh..." Then Raphael and Viola fly away. Z.W.E.I. starts freaking out and turns into Sophimare. He grabs his boobs, then explodes, knocking Soul Edge out of his hand and Soul Calibur out of Patroklos's hand. Light Yagami and L Lawliet from Death Note get Soul Edge and Soul Calibur, respectively. Google'd it.

My first thought was right away: either Zwei or Patroclus will be the new nightmare (judging by the length of the swords). If pat is the new nightmare, then pyrrha would have to knock him down a peg.

I am expecting Mitsurugi to be mildly religious. I do not know if anyone else noticed, but, Mitsu has a bit of ol' buddah on the sleeve. This would also explain beads. Of course, that would mean he must have had a reason to be religious in the first place and coming back to battle. Though Soul Calibur is fun, Story is not their strong suit XD.

Lets see....I predict the story for Astaroth some how intertwining with Viola and Zwei. Perhaps Asta completely broke down and viola repaired/revived him using electricity. I could see voldo having something to do with those two. Most likely fighting them. Sig and hilde would seem to be on some sort of royal guard. However, that would mean they share the same crest. That, I have not seen yet so that is the most unlikely out of my predictions and speculations.

My best guess for Natsu, she is most likely on the hunt for the swords. Or (if she is under the impression they are no longer in existence), she is trying to find Mitsurugi but then discovers the swords being whole again and decides to carry out her master's "noble mission".

Thats all I got, but again, not expecting a well made story since it is, well, soul calibur xD.

Seriously tho, they're making it stupidly obvious that they're a couple. She's traveling with Siegfried's group, they're next to each other on the character select, they're even together in Hilde's concept art. If Sieg isn't getting some then he's so deep in the friendzone there's no hope for him.
