SoulCalibur V Storyline Theory Thread

Nope and nope.... sounds cool though. Forgive me but I'm not familiar with a whole lot of anime/manga..... as for your comment? What does that mean? xD
Ah and ah XD. Sengoku Basara is actually a game first and anime second. Think a genre similar to 99 kights but with combos and daimyo from the Sengoku era (What is commonly referred to as the age of warring states, same time period and company as onimusha). Shipping is when people pair characters up. xD its quite common.

It shouldn't take long for them to learn since they're the children of Hilde and raised around mercenaries.
Yeah but Hilde would probably try to give her kids a semi-childhood since she was robbed of one completly. If they were fighting then they'd probably be bonus characters. Maybe they'd have the whole mercenary group as bonus as well.

Hey, I like! Would be a hell of a lot more relevant than Shura and co. Sort of like when bonus characters actually made sense (remember Hwang, Li Long and Revenant?)

Bonus characters should also include some of the SC4 people that aren't in, if they're not going to be available as DLC.

Yeah. I did like Angol Fear, Ashlotte and ...... Scherazade. Even if her voice is annoying! I just like those three though.
Ashlotte was amazing. Angol Fear should've used Seong Mi-na's style.. I think Ivy would've fit better. I didn't like how their weapons were just dumb. I dunno. lol

The concepts were interesting. Implementation? Not so much. I mean, Shura had a gun that didn't exist XD If they weren't clones and had their own styles like the bonus chars in SC3, they would would have garnered many more fans. (Do you see the fan following around Lynette? ^^) Ashlotte was my favorite bonus char too!
It's not a big deal but we only had female bonus chars in SC4 :/

Well, Kayane said in her twitter that when a character defeats another he/she knows, the quote will be different. So, they must be working together.
I wouldn't say friends, more like allies.

I suggest the new nightmare, cough cough (soph), is gonna be kept a secret. Then they might find a way to get nightmare's fighting style to a new character.
Also, I think that soul calibur is destroyed because the Comicon trailer said, "It appeared that the sword lost its power." So, whichever sword, one of them will probably not appear or something.

Ermm..... but they've already made new graphics of bothsoul swords. Why would one of them not be appearing in the game?

Yeah I did think that was strange when there were no male bonus. But I didn't really mind either. I loved how they intertwined with the actual SC cast, and that their designs and stories were pretty original. I just hated how they were clone characters as well.

Well how else would the power go away? I don't know, I'm just making a theory on what I read.
The narrator guy said: "17 years ago.. it APPEARED that the swords lost their power." He wasn't pointing out that they actually did lose their power, but that it seemed that way.

When you say it like that. But what puzzles me is who's gonna wield soul calibur. Not Seig, he has his old sword. And Tago said the swords were going to be short swords, and since the Pyrrha and Pat don't have it, I assume that it's gone, or hidden for that matter because I just read the text from the tgs trailer. So my first prediction wasn't it.

Maybe they will be unlockable weapons. Or maybe they will belong to other characters who arent even revealed yet.. I mean, they are keeping a lot of surprises for us.. So who knows for now.

Just because they don't have it yet doesn't mean they won't eventually..

The soul swords have to be the main weapon of someone. Or else who would be the final enemy in story mode. Maybe Inferno, but I've never seen soul calibur on it's own.

That would be interesting. If somehow, Cassandra had soul calibur, and Sophitia had soul edge. Two generations of sibling rivalry.
