NEC XII SC4 Full Results & Aftermath

  • Moderator
The final major tournament for Soulcalibur IV is now in the books here at NEC XII in Philadelphia, PA. Competitors from across North America and Europe participated in one of the toughest tournaments that I have seen during the life of this game, along with those who came to try out the demo build of Soulcalibur V.

I would like to thank everyone who came through to NEC, to the European players for flying over to compete, to the staff who helped keep things going, and to Namco Bandai for their support of NEC XII. Everyone had a hand in making NEC an amazing success.

nooo I want it NOWWWW

I'm on 3G internet right now, so it's going to wait until I get home to process. I also have a ton of photos that I will need to process as well, along with some drunken videos and a couple of money matches. I'll try to record more tomorrow once my batteries charge up.

So it's 4AM and cats are still playing SC4. I can't wait to see what things are like when SCV is out.

Also, AMURICA!!!!!!!!

World Champion, Machine, Invincible... people put too much pressure on Scud. The weight of expectations is so heavy here that it's very easy to crumble under it. I still believe he can win, he deserves it.

Can any good soul tell me how other Ivys are doing (tournament and FT5)? NDK wrote about Scud and Woahhzz. What about Linkrkc, Eli, 350z, Malek?

If I recall...Malek did well. I think he knocked out the guy who used the Apprentice, and he also faced another Ivy user, which he lost to, I think.

I believe anyone out of that group of players- Team NA and Team EUR, can win and/or adapt. They all have proven themselves skilled.

But congrats to Team NA for being the top dogs when the pressure is on.

Link only played SCV, so he didn't enter the tournament. 350z didn't enter either. Link was also not liking SCV at first, but the more he played, the more he loved it.

It is true about people putting too much pressure on Scud, but I haven't heard of him shying away from it. But there's alot of factors that come into play in these tournaments. Plus tomorrow is a new day, so we will see what happens.

Woahhzz is still doing alright. He's still in the winners bracket awaiting the winner of Pantocrator vs Sporko.

Also, I really loved watching Pantocrator and Keev play. Both of them are brilliant players.

Before I left to my room, OOFMATIC was putting in work in money matches using Vader. I have one video of him vs Keev I will upload later.

Lastly, there was this chick who came to NEC dressed as Chun-Li who looked sexy as hell with more thighs than Popeyes.

Thanks for the update!

Woahhzz is still in the winners bracket? NDK wrote that LP sent him to losers. Which one is correct then?

In the end, it doesn't matter who will win.. as long as it's an Ivy player.

No, Woahzz is stil in winner's. Not sure about Malek. Scud is in loser's. Also not sure about Eli.

OMG, I have been waiting for a whole night. I still don't know who is the top 4.
MM.... somethings happen? That make people not eager to post the result?

How are the other top players doing? Thugish, RTD, Mick?

I was really pissed yesterday, last huge SC4 Tournament and its not shown on Stream,....wtf. Instead we watched KOF and random SC5 Matches^^ I stayed at home and ditched SC5 to see the solos....

For the french guys, as said before:

Furzy beat Mick in first Round, but then lost to Rekki in Winners and Zeroeffect in Losers.
Scud lost to Dreamkiller in Winners, but is still in losers.
Keev lost to Lolo in Winners, still in Losers.
Kira lost to Whoaazz in Winners, still in losers.
Malek and Panto are both still in Winners.

Good Luck to everyone today, i still think its gonna be between Scud, Lolo and Whoaazz. Hope we get to see something today....

Some other observations:

Watching Soulcalibur V on YouTube and the stream doesn't do the game justice. If you look at the game in person, you will be amazed at how gorgeous of a game it is, and compared to SC4, it's like night and day. Get your preorders in for it.

DreamKiller creeped out Scud by telling him he loved him or wanted a piece of that ass or some shit like that. I can't remember exactly but it was funny as hell.

Pantocrator vs IceColdEdge happened early in the bracket and went down to the wire. The match was a Siegfried player's wet dream right there with Pantocrator edging out the victory.

We should have more singles streamed today since it didn't get streamed yesterday. But if you weren't here, you missed out on alot. More updates from me tonight or tomorrow morning.

Some other observations:

Eli could pass for Kit's long lost brother, but unfortunately for Eli, Kit's now officially an official black man after I put him through a series of challenges to certify his official blackness, and also confirmed by an official black woman who wanted to make sure that Kit's official blackness was officially confirmed.

Kit's official brother Adit is now the official bartender for these east coast tournaments. Been hooking the drinks up for people at NEC like literally.

Daishi is fucking stylish. If my fat ass could fit in his coat, I would try to bribe him for it.

If you are in Philly for one of these big tournaments, everything that you could possibly need is within 5 minutes. Just holla at me.

I'll try to take notes of what happens during singles. I wanted to do that yesterday if not for the constant liquor and chicken runs. Be sure to watch live right now.
