5 if the mystery block contains two slots and one of the remaining slots is for bonus characters.

I doubt very much the writers would have a character ditch moves for being an "inferior copy" and not have the original.

if the wiki is to be believed (despite not citing the sources and generally being full of fail) then there are actually 6 characters left to be revealed. Nothing has been announced in terms of the roster though to my knowledge so it is most likely fake. I wish someone could give us the number so people would stop spreading some false rumors.

I actually agree with the person who was complaining about the lack of new characters. With the current roster thus far they might as well have just went with the usual 1-3 year timeskip and came up with some other BS reasons to get rid of a few vets, or avoided it altogether. I initially would have liked for Setsuka to return, but in light of recent reveals I hope all of the remaining characters are new(So much for that "roughly 50/50" when newbies are outnumbered 6 to like, 20.)
