Team Mighty Chicago - TMCHI

Got mine in the mail just now and played through a few chapters during lunch. Seems pretty fun!

It's very close to SC4. Granted, I only played through story mode with Patro and Pyrrha, but I think playing the two characters represents a decent range of speed.

P.S. Patro is a little slow and range deficient, Pyrrha is Sophitia with hilariously awkward throws.

I'll be going to some gatherings this week that people as hosting.

I would host, but I live to far from most people.

I did run most of the SC IV tourneys back a few years ago in Chicago, might do it again this year. But seeing how many locations are been used now for that, it seems just logical to go to some of the places that already have gatherings and try to get SC V running there. Might get some others to give the game a shot.

Phil, I'll be down for whatever you plan to do at GGA, I need to go there anyway, I keep hearing is a lot of fun. lol

Shit just got real. About to plug into this now.

Khris- How did you get the strat guide? I thought it wasnt released yet.
Chick at the Gamestop I always buy from ordered it for me. How she got it, if indeed it is before release date, is beyond me. But I usually buy guides with every new game I get, so guess she auto figured I would just want one for SCV. Nice to have a hard-cover one.

Close to 55 EW, off 24th and Western real nice area.!
Rob awe we miss u too me and thuggish were just talking about the gatherings and the random shit that would be said when each of us had a salty loss.
Yeah dude, those were good times. There was always salt. I remember one night we played for like, 3 hours straight without talking to each other, haha.

Then you won final round SC3 O_o

Got my copy, about to play. We'll see who I end up using.

Hi Mar!

Hello TMCHI,

Wanted to make a new thread to change focus of what is coming down the road.

Short-term goal is to get everyone gathered and then hold a small local tournament to get some of the new players their “tournament” nerves up and running. I am going to be setting something up with Galloping Ghost Arcade. I’ll charge $5 bucks for the entry and whatever Galloping Ghost Charges for the venue.

1st Prize: MadCatz Stick (Whichever Model happens to be cheapest at the time)
Last Place: Gets my used Copy of SC5 Strategy Guide.

Long-term goal is get the more competitive players ready to compete in The Evolution 2012 (Main Event will be held on July 6-8, 2012) @ Caesar's Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Couple questions to everyone:

  1. Who are the current leaders for Chicago? Who typically sets up gaming sessions and where. I am not here to step on any toes and I am will depending you guys to keep things running smoothly.
  2. Individually, Let me know which of you are interested in casual or competitive.
  3. PM me your contact info. Real Name / Location / Phone # / Schedule (like if you are a student ect.)
Lets get it,
Philip

Hey Phil,

Once a month, I try to hold a session for Tekken called "JustFrame" Thursdays. Now that SC5 is out, I'm probably going to include that in the mix. I'm glad that your already thinking about it, but I've been to GGA tons of times and know the owner pretty well.

I'll PM you my contact info. I'm trying to get serious about this game as I already am in Tekken.
