[Northern California] Norcal Crab Shack

It looks like I'll be MIA for a few weeks while I make up for some downed co workers. I'll try to make what I can especially since PSN is fucking with me.

Nice

Nice meeting you online, Climhazard. Thanks for the Xiba tutorial; I'm definitely unfamiliar with his moves!

Hey everyone, it looks like our first gathering at Gamecenter is a go. It will be on Saturday, February 11 starting at around 5 p.m. and running until the place closes, usually around midnight. We've been cleared for two cabinets plus some setups of our own, so we should have at least five setups. BRING A COPY OF SC5 (PS3) JUST IN CASE, because the owner hasn't confirmed he'll have any copies of the game available.

If you don't know much about the place or how to get there, check www.gamecenterarcade.com for the address and directions. You'll need $7 for the venue wristband fee, which will get you access to all the games in the arcade until the place closes.

Let me know if you can make it. If we can confirm some of the more well-known players will be there, it will help us get some more heads in the place.

Hit me up if you have any questions, concerns, etc.

No more wishy-washy bullshit. Let's fucking do this.

Figure i should bump this up. This will be happening this Saturday, everyone should try and make it out to this. It will be a great time. And if anyone has any questions or wants to coordinate rides up there just post in here so we can figure it out.

I would like to add I talked to them about where to physically place the setups, and they will have atlease 3 foldable tables for us.

I'll be there, and if I can make it, no one has any excuses. I can also give rides.

Does anyone happen to be swinging by San Jose on their way back from Milpitas tonight? I'll probably need a ride back, or else I'll have to leave at 10:30.

I'll try attending this. I can bring one complete and one semi-complete setup:
1 PS3 (unlocked most stuff)
1 PS3 copy of SC5
1 XB360 (no memory unit)
1 XB360 copy of SC5
1 monitor ASUS VH236H
2 PS3 compatible arcade sticks
*MAYBE* 1 table for putting all my stuff on.

I don't think the 360 is necessary. Pretty much everyone plays on PS3. Good looking out, though!

Also, it would help us out a lot if everyone who was going could RSVP for this on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/events/345118258855013/

Thanks!

Okay, then I'll leave the thing at home.

(The disc drive is being unreliable anyways...it might be time to take it out back and shoot it.)

EDIT: Also made a post on the FB page that I can bring yet another setup.

Hey guys, I messaged CD on my time of arrival. If all works out with his schedule, I'll be making the event on the 11th. So, to clarify...

I'll be bringing an SCV setup at GameCenter tonight at TNT, but no side tourney.

Talking to Kineda, it doesn't seem to make sense to run SCV side tourneys on Thursday nights, but we can probably set up an alternating schedule on Wednesdays with MGL to run tourneys if there's enough interest.

See you guys there tonight and on the 11th!
