Which moves are considered lagtactics in SCV?

With the improved netcode, it's hard for me to tell which moves are considered "lagtactics" like in SCIV. Are there are specific character moves that fall within this category?

-switching on emule while playing
-using any download tool
-forget to shut down your PC

those are lag tactics...

Anything which relies on online lag to function. Any mix-up that's telegraphic unless it's online, when it becomes 50/50, any slow move that one would be able to block/avoid on reaction offline but not online (Natsu's bombs, I'm looking at you), random unblockables out of nowhere.

Random unblockables are considered lag tactics, really? Every time I've thrown one out(in public or private rooms) it seems like my opponent was quite well aware of it as soon as I started the animation...and half the time I end up paying for it anyways with a nasty punisher.

I will often be in a room and some people will yell at me for throwing.

while throw breaking is a 50/50 anyway, it is certainly possible online ... unlike tekken where you can break throws on reaction [offline, but not online] ... I don't think that throwing is a cheap online tactic in sc.

No such things as lag tactics in SCV ;)
You do realize that you're in the Online Mode section, right? Of course there are lag tactics online.

Depends on the unblockable and the lag. I didn't mean that every character's every unblockable is useful for lag tactics.

You DO realize that the OP asked for our opinion in the online forum right?

Why dont you give us some examples instead of giving a vauge response!

Leixia's 22_88K and 22_88kA cannot be reacted to separately online. You might be able to block both by sliding from a low to a standing block upon seeing the start-up, but you cannot know for sure whether to punish or not (because the lag will make it impossible for you to react fast enough to be able to tell if that's a kA or K before the lag for K is over). In other words, if you try to punish, you'll just have to pray that that's a 22_88K, not a 22_88kA.

Offline - Not a 50/50
Online - 50/50 (in a way)

I disagree, but thanks for elborating.

That particular mix-up is viable offline as well. Its almost a guess if youre gonna be able to punish it or not. The same rules apply offline vs online so I PERSONALLY dont see it as a lag tactic.

Just like mitsu's 2KB, it was i19 in sc4 and is i18 now. The average human isnt gonna react to anything faster than i22/i23 or so. So it is a move you MUST block on ANTCIPATION, not REACTION. cause youre not gonna react to it offline or online.

As much as I hate Lexia (mostly cause I dont know her match up very well yet) I dont see it as being lag tactic worthy. I can see it if your playing someone across the country or something but as a general whole, im not convinced

I never said it wasn't viable. I said that it isn't a 50/50 offline, but online it practically is.

I'm sorry, do you magically possess some kind of 0 frame lag connection to all of your opponents? Even on a truly good line against a good connection, there's going to be some lag.

It's not a great lag tactic. But it's a lag-tactic nonetheless. It is undeniable that the mix-up is better online than offline.

If I can block Ivy's 1K online with a reasonable connection on reaction, and interrupt 2A on block ~ 2A, then lag tactics are practically gone.

EVERYTHING IS A LAG TACTIC ON THE INTERNET SIMPLY BECAUSE IT ISN’T OFFLINE. THE GAME IS ALWAYS REGISTERING MY THROW BREAK JUST A TAD BIT TOO LATE AND I AM ALWAYS MISSING MY BLOCK PUNISH ON 2K JUST A TAD BIT TOO LATE. THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN OFFLINE. STOP DELUDING YOURSELVES.

Lol

Are you allergic to sarcasm? Or are you saying sarcastic wit and intelligent conversation are mutually exclusive? Trust me, when I'm belittling your intelligence, you'll know.

22K and 22kA distinguishable in a real match?

Good luck, squire...
Not startup, but once K hits, you'll be able to tell it from kA fast enough for at least a mix-up.
