Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

OKAY. I got the Premium Demo (yeah...) but I cannot download it for whatever reason...

I hope its just PSN needing to update.

So I have been playing the DEMO all night and DAY today!

The graphics:
Look great but could use a little more polish. But all the new help messages and "action" style camera and hit effects actually ruin it a little bit. Thank fully you can turn all of them off :D

But for instance when you do a power blow towards the flying car it still shows you QT to press "a" (xbox) and that annoys me! DOA is a game known for it's beauty i don't like this things, and it looks weird seeing a car with "a" on it!

Also the "action camera" can switched off to basic camera!

Sound:
They speck in English, finally the DOA crew speaks English and it sounds OK.

Gameplay:
Still trying it out. The AI is weak and there is no training mode just versus! It has a good pace. The stun system is not as harsh. It is not as "hardcore" as DOA 4 - it feels more grounded. the characters feel more grounded the way virtu fighter feels a little. (for instance DOA 4 ayane felt very loose like defying gravity) anyways.

The power Blow you just hold R1 and if you hit them (they dont block) than it does this little super (doesnt take that much off) and you choose left or right plus Y and hit them into an object! (This part looks horrible with the help messages on) just turn all that shit off!

There is no replay in this version...

The new counters are cool. It is an interesting feel. It feels different! Though it plays the same.

Most likely they'll have the option to turn off QTE's but did you get the demo early?

Well I finally got my Demo code redeemed and downloaded. Fired it up and kinda cycled through the 4 characters.

Yeah. Its been a LONG time since I played this series. AI is a prick at times, doesn't like you experimenting, pressing buttons. Got most play with Hitomi cause she's really the only character out of the group (atm) that I have some clue how to play. (I main Kasumi, Leon, and Brad Wong, so yeah!) The over all demo feels great. I was a fan of the DOA3 3 hold system. Simple is good. Works like a charm. But learning the Expert Holds rewards you more (Hayabusa = Izuna Drops, Hitomi gets a free juggle, etc...)

The AI constantly stepped my shit with the new 2_8H+P+K, but moves still track like a blood hound so if you miss time your step it could hurt a lot. Hayate's 2_8P+K dodge actually avoided attacks though. It seems as though shaking stuns is gone (Hold H and perform a 360 motion recovered you out of stuns) Im guessing its to force people to use the Hold System to get out of the stun game. You actually seem to get free hits off of a wall, the AI punched me into an explosive wall, I bounced off it, over them, they continued the combo, and knocked me over the side. It was quite impressive and has me salivating at the thought of Tag mode. :D

Going to bed. I'll play more. The game does have a movelist but its on screen while you play. So I'm probably going to plug up my arcade stick and a controller and take a good gander at that.

Graphics: They are perfect.
Ehh? It didn't tell me to press a button after turning off tutorial in options...

Sound: Mehhh I still prefer Japanese. Thankfully, they gave me the option to switch it!

Gameplay: The AI improves the more you fight! XD
