What made you choose your main?

No it's not dumb. It's a redundant thread Pocky Yoshi likes to be redundant in because he's just redundant in saying Pocky Yoshi likes something. Pocky Yoshi likes cookies. Now give him a cookie! >3

Yoshimitsu became my main because I grew up with him via Tekken. It wasn't until SCII when I first played Yoshi that I became a hardcore Yoshi fanboy for life.

Tira's got that certain something you just can't put your finger on(inb4 finger jokes). In SCIII she was just this random emo dancing assassin chick that was just kind of there. In SCIV she just seemed really, REALLY awesome and I have no idea why. Maybe it's the moodswings. Maybe it's her aversion to wearing much clothing. Maybe it's her voices. I really don't know why, but since SCIV I've thought she was ridiculously awesome and SCV is no different in that aspect.

It also didn't hurt her appeal when she became the best antagonist of the series, similar to Zasalamel being the uber puppet master in III but with a more personal, sadistic touch to the Alexander family. She's just so awesome one moveset isn't enough!

Pyrrha because I've mained Cassandra since SCII. Tried Patroklos, but Pyrrha just feels more natural to me.

Viola is a secondary. She seems like something Talim should have been.

totally. I have so many characters I'm trying to get good at, right now it's tira and yoshi. At the same time I play Pyrrah, viola, list goes on. That's what I like about sc because the characters are bad ass and mostly relatable.

When I was little my father would take me to the arcade and I would always play Soul Calibur with the money he gave me. I gravitated towards Nightmare and played as him constantly. To this day, I just can't drop him, and he's one of my favorite video game characters of all time.

I also play Voldo because I love just how disturbing he is, as weird as that sounds. I like ZWEI mainly because his fighting style has a heavier emphasis on strategy than other styles.

Mine is kind of a mixed baggage. You see, like you said, a lot of the characters in Soul Calibur are awesome and each have their own personality that makes them stick out. But yeah... <= D

In Soul Calibur 2, my main was mostly Ivy. She was just so bad ass in that game. And oh my god that voice she had... *faints* I really think Soul Calibur 2 was where Ivy's voice actress was at it's best. I also really liked her personality because it somewhat reminded me of myself but only somewhat. Her outfits were pretty cool too and last but not least, her moveset was very fun to use! Along with Ivy, I also mained Taki and Yun-Seong. Two other characters I really liked, plus Yun-Seong was so cute and hot even if he was very cocky... >_> And Taki's moveset was so fun to use.

In Soul Calibur 3, my main was mostly Tira. She had to be one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen. Not to mention her weapon style was very unique to me. Her moves were just wicked. Plus, I love her bipolar-like behavior, she was so crazy lol. Along with Tira, I also mained Taki, Cassandra, Yun-Seong, and Sophitia. ^^ I really found a big liking to using the Alexanra Sisters in this game as opposed to SCII.

In Soul Calibur 4, my main mostly was Tira. I also mained Taki, Yun-Seong, Sophitia, Cassandra, and Amy. I really adored Amy in SCIII and she was pretty cool in SCIII. Her moves were pretty fun too but I can understand how some people hated fighting her. ^^;

And now in Soul Calibur 5, my most used character right now is Natsu. It's funny because when I first saw her, I thought she had the most dumbest looking design ever for a ninja. But I have to say, her personality is pretty awesome. And she is so fun to use! =D I may not care for her aesthetics appearance still but her as a character, she is pretty good. I also main Z.W.E.I. because when I first saw him, I melted. He is just so hot! He's Gothic-like, Muscular, and has a werewolf, Just wow...! <3 So yeah... I think you get the idea. Unfortunately, I'm not so good with him yet but I'm practicing! My other mains are Viola and Patroklos. ^_^

And yeah, that's all of them. But for the record, I do use everyone and I do mean everyone, especially in Soul Calibur 5. Everyone is very fun to play with.
