Just read this Daishi interview from Train2Game- looks like the full world map from the artbook WAS going to be part of a much larger storymode - "Our first plan on the storyboard was that we had every characters story, and actually we do have it in the studio, but time-wise, man power-wise we weren’t able to do it and only one fourth of what we planned to do is in the game. Actually, some of the voice-overs are already taken but haven’t been used, so we want to make use of it somehow, but we don’t know how that’s going to be".

Just a guess, but in the picture with Tira, Solnhofen is likely the guy in the background, as he seems to hold a thin sword and, much like in SCIV, his face is hidden. The guy with the knife is likely just another member.

But, judging from that demon's design, doesn't he look a bit too similar to the 9-Tailed Fox of the Naruto manga...? Oh, yeah... I almost forgot that Cyberconnect did most of the story for this version of Soul Calibur 5, so.... ~_~

@ Tuzark_melire :Pardon for the double post, but.... Holy crap! I didn't realize that the Unicorn symbol belongs to Graf Dumas/Nightmare! What a surprise....
...And I also didn't even realize that Toki had been reborn as a mighty Fox Demon, too! The fact that Arahabaki is a Serpent Demon would also explain Natsu's glowing circular birthmark with snakes embedded in it's design located at the back of her left shoulder, usually appearing during her CE, but often in some of her more unique winposes, too (the one where she said, "That didn't suck.").
It seems that the more we know about the Soul Calibur lore, the more blown away we get.... Now I can't wait to know what other surprises await us...! o.O
Before I forget, I wish to know the connection between Viola, Raphael, Z.W.E.I. , and Nightmare in general. And that includes Viola's origins, if possible....

- 本能寺之變
- 雅典的麵包店少女蘇菲緹雅接受鍛冶之神赫淮斯托斯的神諭，破壞其中一把刀魂。宿主塞凡堤斯被日本的女忍者多喜所弒。
- 奧柏格阡堡出身的年輕傭兵齊格飛發現倒在西班牙港鎮的塞凡堤斯屍體。他擊破了突然燃燒並活動的屍體，取得刀魂。
- 齊格飛遭刀魂支配，引發＂災厄的光柱＂邪惡種子。邪惡種子發散的邪氣遍及世界各地，造成眾多怪異事件。
- 真行山臨勝寺的修行僧被邪惡種子邪化而自相殘殺，臨勝寺因此毀壞。
- 沃爾夫克羅涅國王格奧古因邪化而陷入昏迷，年僅十一歲的公主希德嘉成為代理國王。
- 利沃尼亞戰爭結束
- 變為「蒼騎士」的齊格飛在歐洲各地不斷虐殺。
- 蒼騎士夜魔、亞斯塔羅斯與艾昂、艾薇結為「盟約之盾」。
- 齊力克、香華、真喜志成為旅伴，「三寶」集結。三人朝夜魔的根據地奧斯特蘭堡前進。
- 夜魔與齊力克、香華交戰。因劍魂的加持，香華破壞了邪劍。崩裂的刀魂碎片從異空間的裂縫中向世界飛散。
- 豐臣秀吉成為太政大臣
- 齊格飛自異空間生還，取回自我、為了尋求封印邪劍的場所而輾轉各地。
- 蘇格蘭女王瑪麗一世遭處刑
- 刀魂慢慢取回力量，再度支配齊格飛的肉體，化為夜魔繼續虐殺。
- 英西無敵艦隊之役
- 蒼騎士夜魔持續回收刀魂碎片重返奧斯特蘭堡，並為了復活而休養生息。
- 法蘭西王國原貴族拉菲爾‧索雷爾在奧斯特蘭堡與夜魔決鬥，破壞刀魂的中核。齊格飛取回意識，以在異空間裂縫中現身的劍魂突入刀魂。雙極之劍因彼此侵蝕的形態，互相封印力量，變為相克劍「雙魂合璧」而沈寂下來。
- 札薩拉梅爾將刀魂的意識體復活為夜魔，追尋持有相克劍的齊格飛。齊格飛在遠離人煙的「絕境的大聖堂」中備戰等待夜魔。
- 札薩拉梅爾運用秘術將雙魂合璧強制解放，邪劍與靈劍再度分離。交戰的齊格飛與夜魔各自持有劍魂和刀魂，而雙極之劍的衝突所溢散的力之奔流將周遭一帶破壞殆盡，齊格飛與夜魔也被彈開。
- 東歐某個城鎮大量出現「邪化現象」的罹患者。對邪者的偏見和迫害開始慢慢擴大。
- 夜魔在奧斯特蘭堡完成復活。
- 與奧斯特蘭堡鄰接的沃爾夫克羅涅王國，率軍對奧斯特蘭堡發動戰爭。夜魔使用刀魂的力量張開混沌靈界，將奧斯特蘭堡一帶化為異界。齊格飛揮動劍魂破壞刀魂。戰爭以沃爾夫克羅涅的勝利告終。

First, I want to thank Tuzark_merlire and any other translators for all their hard work, plus those that have been providing the images. This has been a wonderfully enlightening thread.
I've ordered a second copy of the book so I can dissect and scan it properly, which I will do when it arrives (I expect that will be the middle of next week, April 11th-ish, assuming that my flatbed scanner still works). Chiefly for my own translation attempts, but this is the first time I've attempted any Japanese-English translation, so that makes it more of a pet project than anything substantial. I would love to get the whole thing translated, but I wouldn't feel right asking one person to take on the project (even though I will gladly donate some coin to any translators for their services), so is there anyone else that is currently translating this stuff (Tuzark I know of, but I can't come up with any other names off the top of my head), or would be willing to work on doing so (at their own pace, of course)? Just throwing the idea out there, no hard feelings if no one wants to take the time/energy/etc. to do it.

I meant the pic posted above your reply, since it summarizes Toki's previous story (including his plot of absorbing demons into his body). Though it does seem to resemble the bigger artwork, so maybe they are one and the same.
I'll be taking a shot at that text soon, but I may get a bit delayed due to other issues creeping up. May be late, but worry not...I will deliver :)
