New DLC released April 24th

I always thought Raphs "pilgrim" hat, never really fit with his attire. I still havent got used to it. It still looks weird to me.

And if only maxi didnt have that damn fur all over his 1p outfit, Id be happier

You know what. Namco should just release 1P/2P skin packs for the Cepheus Store that have the same properties as the SCV 1P/2P

XD

The only characters that I would have been interested to see how they look 17 years later were the younger ones (Talim, Amy, maybe even Yun Seong), because obviously even after 17 years without any malfested bullshit keeping them from aging, they would still look like they always did or almost.

Just look at Hilde.

...they just add some twist to the formula, cause they need a blonde character to add cause Setsuka its no more...
I wrote this and...
Right, because there aren't enough blondes in SC. (Looks at Pyrrha, Omega Pyrrha, Patroklos, Seigfried, Elysium)
Do you need that I add the word SARCASM at the end of the sentence to know it is sarcasm?

And Natsu is nothing like Taki. Neither in gameplay aspects or in casual aspects.

1. Serious: Taki's gameplay revolved around locking down opponents with strings that shifted into PO and baiting them to try to interrupt a frame trap, mixing up cancels with full strings to always keep them guessing. Natsu relies on fishing for counterhits and then getting big damage off her long combos. I don't dislike the new style, but it's not the same. She has PO, sure, but it's not used in the same way as Taki used it.

2. Casual: Taki was a badass ninja babe. Natsu is some weeaboo animefan's wet dream. Her backstory may have well just been stolen from that stupid anime cartoon. When I looked at and listened to Taki, I could believe she was a ninja that hunted demons. When I hear Natsu, I feel like I'm passing through a crowd of teenagers coming out of Hot Topic.

You probably thought it was bad when Rock and Astaroth, Mina and Kilik, Hwang and Xianghua were in the same game, because you thought they all played exactly the same didn't you?
Baiting, thats all you can do sheesh. When talking about soul calibur 4, no i didn't had a problem with having both rock and astaroth or mina and kilik in the same game. They were specifically designed from day one to be two different chars. In SC4 asta wasn't designed to replace rock, as kilik wasn't designed to replace mina in this game. They were designed to coexist.

In SC5 Natsu was designed to replace Taki. I don't know why it is so hard for you to understand that difference.

Also, fail for comparing hwang to xianghua - get your facts right.

Just for clarification.
When people say they miss Taki is it her SC4 fighting style they miss or the character?

I think some Taki fans gotta realize that playstyles change from game to game, especially when there's such a drastic change in gameplay like SCIV to SCV. Natu's style counts as a viable replacement for Taki's cause I bet if Taki was in SCV, her style would have evolved into something like the Natsu style we see now.
As for Natsu being a good replacement characterwise-you can fight amongst yourselves.

Go play the original Soul Calibur. Hwang and Xianghua share A LOT of moves. It's not like Hwang's SC3 style at all.
