So I found a way to do a keep jumping with Talim after whiffing her AS K, or having it blocked.

If you tap G with very precise timing, the moment AS K whiffs or is blocked, she will go into AS again. From there you can do any of her AS options.

I haven't done this but in theory Talim can pretty much hop around in the air by doing AS K:G, AS K:G, AS K:G, etc.

Here's a short vid I made of Talim doing AS K:G, AS K, AS B+K:

*Note for any new players*: AS is her 6B+K aka Wind Sault, but it's written as AS or Air Sault as to not confuse WS with "While Standing".

Leave it to OOF to make a move SLOWER... as if her WS moves weren't slow enough... now you're adding a jump to it. I guess its good for some theoretical mixup, but often when people see you WS, they either block, step, or do a vertical to knock you out of it (and yes, ALL of her WS moves can be interrupted)... now you're just giving them more time to react.

Wow. Im not entirely sure what to make of that. But it should be a strong tool.

The fact that you are in AS is a mixup in itself. A+B will beat retaliations, A for steppers, mid B+K for damage after you've trained them to block low, B:K/K for mostly safe options. And now you can just K:G until they are in range. Theoretically, range is no longer a problem at all if she can just K:G into range from an AS. I guess if they train themselves enough, they can just wait for you to K:G into the right place and punish you with something like Zas 4A+B or Ivy lick. But for most characters you'd just be getting air-hit.

Good stuff OOF.

i think it's a nice find.

i think it'd be good for stopping people who step back to stop AS, but that's my theory fighter talking

I'm getting the hang of AS K:G now. I can do it about 90% of the time.

The best way to practice the timing is to have AS K hit the opponent, while pressing G right on the impact frame.

I also found that you don't even need to do it with G. AS K:A_B_K will also work and will have the exact same effect as using G does.

I'm also starting to think that it's not possible to do AS K:G, AS K:G. But the problem might just be my timing on the second AS K.

This is fantastic if easily do-able in combat. For instance, getting in on a keep out Ivy or Kilik from a distance can be a bit easier with something like this. In closer, you can theoretically bounce once in front of a foe, and then end up behind him for a AS B:K_A+K landing. Great find!

I also think it's a good find if nothin else to get you in closer to the opponent.
Probably some 'bug' that Namco will fix when/if they find it.

ill test it out the next time i play. thats so cool. how did you figure this out,

I've played with it a bit and it is a tough JF command alright. It'll take a LOT of practice to pull off regularly in heated competition.

The theory about AS K:G AS A+K works well though. I tried it from a distance where I usually do a AS A_B+K mixup and as the opponent tried to crouch block the low I whiff-bounced over his head and connected the reverse mule kick. Still, I'm nowhere good enough with it to use it regularly, but I'll keep practicing.

would that come out as AS AS A_B_K or just AS AS??

so do you have to actually hit k to do this? ive tried many times but not luck on the move. most of my opponents do what u said step back and this would seriously help my game if i master it. so OOFMATIC can you explain it a little bit more clearly or any of you guys who have successfully executed this move. thanks.

AS K whiff into AS

You do hit the K while in AS. Think of it this way... it's as if the second frame of animation of AS K is cancelled by tapping G at that exact moment. That's what happens when she bounces in the air for the 2x AS.

i tried it out for so much time and i just cant get it. is it possible for one of you to either use OOFMATIC's video or make ur own and put the timing of when to press the :G: button. meaning edit the video and put it the gaurd button at that specific timing that it its supposed to be pressed.
i do think that this will really help my game to keep my opponent from guessing if i master it then i would improve alot.
so if one of you can do the edit or make one video then it would help me alot.
thank you.

talimmaster, just practice the just frame by doing it on block.

So do 6B+K, WS K, have the opponent block the K, and press G the exact moment the K connects. If she jumps forward after having the K blocked, then you did the just frame. If she jumps backwards off the opponent, then you didn't.

i just recently got the game although ive played it alot in other places, but i still havent figured out how to make the AI in training mode to block and how to make them do what u want them to do, can some 1 guide on how to use the training mode UI?
