If anything DOA is less responsive. It has a buffer system that massages your inputs making it impossible to buffer in certain moves etc

I play VF I like it, But obviously it is not DOA...
(This might get controversial)
I believe Virtua Fighter is a Great game in "Theory" not in "Execution"... I remember reading this interview with Itgaki awhile ago when DOA4 was being made, and he was bragging about how it takes a certain kind of programmer to achieve these RESPONSIVE controls that DOA has. He than went on to say that Namcos Soul Team has some diligent programmers also (typical back handed compliment from Itagaki) - But I agree with him.
You don't need to be super technical to see it and feel it. Virtua Fighter is just not as responsive, and it's not because it's meant to be that way, it's because the programmers are limited in their ability's. I am not dissing anyone its just the truth. If you deny it than your lying to yourself. Anyone can feel the difference between fighting games that are responsive and have smoother controls and clunkier games like VF who mean well but are not executed well....
Example ?If anything DOA is less responsive. It has a buffer system that massages your inputs making it impossible to buffer in certain moves etc
Its an opinion...he explained it clearly...Example ?

Nice random complaint. Some people's goal in life appears to follow the trend and shit on games other people shit on with no reason. To say the buffer system in DOA sucks...? Wow.If anything DOA is less responsive. It has a buffer system that massages your inputs making it impossible to buffer in certain moves etc
I said I don't like the fact that DOA 4's buffer attempts to decide for you what you "really"meant. Which always means, "Oh, you mean 236?"Nice random complaint. Some people's goal in life appears to follow the trend and shit on games other people shit on with no reason. To say the buffer system in DOA sucks...? Wow.
Can't wait to hear which moves you can't buffer
No, you saidI said I don't like the fact that DOA 4's buffer attempts to decide for you what you "really"meant. Which always means, "Oh, you mean 236?"
Just wondering which moves are impossible to buffer. If anything DOA is less responsive. It has a buffer system that massages your inputs making it impossible to buffer in certain moves etc
Then I'd have to go and play DOA4 to refresh my memory. *shudder* It's been years. Can't wait to hear which moves you can't buffer
Then I'd have to go and play DOA4 to refresh my memory. *shudder* It's been years.
That's not going to happen.
I must have a different definition of responsive.Bro everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but play DOA 4 than PLAY VF 5 and be honest... You dont have to be a genius to feel the truth...
And again VF is a great game in theory.
?????I must have a different definition of responsive.
When I do something, the game should do *that*. VF is tops in this regard. It has a very generous buffer system. You just can't be a mashing spazz.
You people are complaining that VF's too responsive.
Hell of a strawman. You're worth talking to I see.?????
This is a thread about DOA. You camer in here to make a completely unwarranted criticism of the DOA buffering system, presumably in the hope that all the DOA haters would come by to 'like' your post and you could feel satisfied that your point was sound via the mob rule.
In the absence of said 'like' support, you then claim that other people are criticising the buffer system in a compltely different game? Kudos to your comedy logic sir. You've already stated that you aren't going to give any evidence for the bullshit point you made.
It must be nice heading to discussions for games you don't even like, and dishing out pointless and unjustified criticism. I hear this kind of trolling is popular on YouTube comments too.
Continuing to fail to make any points. I applaud your efforts in repeatedly coming back to this thread with nothing to contribute.Hell of a strawman. You're worth talking to I see.
What again are you contributing?Continuing to fail to make any points. I applaud your efforts in repeatedly coming back to this thread with nothing to contribute.
I was noting the anti-DOA feeling starting to emerge in a number of the posts in this thread by certain people calling out the game for being non-serious, scorned by competitive players, and too much of a guessing game. I like the game quite a lot, but haven't played competitively for a long time, so I asked why players thought these things. What again are you contributing?
It was answered multiple times. You didn't like the answers, but it's silly to completely ignore them with disingenuous deconstruction of the provided points.I still have no answer as to why people think "holding in a stun => game cannot be competitively serious"
It's a DOA discussion not a DOA lovein. Get over it.Then you come in and claim that THE BUFFER SYSTEM IN DOA IS LESS RESPONSIVE AND SOME MOVES ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO BUFFER. Which as far as I am concerned is complete inflammatory bullshit without any sound backing. And in all your attempts to make a comeback post, you still haven't given any reasons whatsoever for your claim. You appear to like bashing the game for no good reason, like a standard YouTube troll.
Round and round in circles. I'm bored. It wasn't answered, but I'm done repeating myself. If anyone impartial wants to comment go ahead. I imagine most people just want to get back to talking about DOA5.
