FF Versus Possibly Canned

I remember the times of FFVII, FFVI had just came out and every old school loved it and when they saw VII the hate started, it was so different to VI, almost everything changed and Cloud had this huge hater community. Now days FFVII is in the hall of fame and considered one of the best games in history above FFVI. Not saying that FFXIII surpasses the old FF games but close minded hardcore fans will always hate the new and different stuff.

XIII to me was boring as hell and I had ever played a FF game before that. I got to walk down a linear path and press A. Such adrenaline filled action!

Old school RPGs were walking around a bigger area pressing A so not much of a difference there lol.
Lol I know, I'm just poking fun. :P
Although I never liked turn based systems as a kid, I was always too impatient to wait for my turn. My favorite game I've play that is turned based is The Last Remnant. I love that game.

I know hence the lol there. The Tales series and the Star Ocean series are few games you should try out if you don't like Turn Based RPGs. They are really fun.

I'm also not a big fan of turn base, it can get really boring and lets face it everyone at the end of a dungeon wants to avoid every single fight.

I basically like all RPGs though I have never been picky when it comes to my entertainment needs.

Depends on how easy the monsters are.

When you think about it, turn based combat is not that bad. I mean during a normal fight you need a rest / observational period to figure your next plan of attack otherwise you would get yourself caught in a real bad situation.

Over all, I am more of a fan non-turn based combat, which is why games like Rogue Galaxy, Star Ocean, etc where all games i found fun. But games like the Dragon quest series, also were a lot of fun, even if they used turn based combat.

I am more a fan on story. The last good story from all the FF games i have played is 12. A lot of people really didn't like it, but to me that political story really was good. If anything I think Square really needs to stop pushing the mechanics of the games and go back to the story.

FF13, the story was iffy. If the combat wasn't fun, I would have not played it. But of course this is only my opinion. I think Square can do some good with FF Vs 13 so i plan to wait and see what they have in store. And after this whole rumor deal, its more then likely that they will make a statement about it at TGS2012.

I have hope for versus 13 just cause it looks a lot more interesting than XIII when i saw the trailer. Despite the main dude does look like sasuke from naruto I like the atmosphere and modern settings the game have in it. Usually im very open minded with my rpgs heck I loved wild arms 4 and... well that game was pretty generic and i loved it xD. Plus I gave 13 a fair chance a good 10 hours of my life hoping the game would of gotten better... alas it did not for me and it was literally putting me asleep. Lightning wasn't interesting to me despite having a very big sister complex, and snow reminded me of kyle Dunimas wanting to be a hero everywhere, then there is vanille......... good god vanille...., and Sazh the ONLY one i liked out of all the characters cause he had a son he wanted to protect which is kool. Too bad though they gave him guns, dance shooting, and a lil chocobo chicken living in his hair and is considered a "afro". Really square.... Really? So yes I gave XIII a try and low and behold XIII didnt want me to love it but i dont bash people who liked the game because there is some people who really liked it and im glad they enjoyed it however I didnt share that same experience.

During that time when I was playing XIII I played Xenoblade on the Wii and good lord that game is pure gold and I recommend anyone to play it. Though people hear Wii I guarantee people will ignore it and just move on but that RPG was my RPG of the year last year.

I'm playing Xenoblade right now. OMG its definitely my favourite RPG of all time!! So many sidequests and an amazing story - nowhere near completion though :p!

Funny thing is you cant do all the side quest in one play through so you save them all for new game+. Enjoy that game it really is a beautiful one. I imported the European version after i downloaded it and man was it worth it.

The scenery is just incomparible to so many games out there. Everything is so engaging. I find it really hard to make a decision where there are 2 outcomes lol. I own the european version because I'm from the UK. Japanese voiceover>english voiceover IMO.

There you said it, how can you give an objective critic if you didn't even finish the game? to review a game you have to finish if someone here tells me that didn't like the game but completed it I will take that critic into consideration otherwise is just pure whining for having a different game than the good old days...

Eh, if a game is still no good 10 hours in you aren't obligated to finish it to know you don't like it. If it were like a publicized review you should finish it, but for personal opinion 10 hours of not liking a game is enough to cement a dislike for it regardless of what comes after.
