How is this "stupid shit" that we're getting into? I see it as a means to be creative with the only character I actually use. None of this stuff is game breaking, it's purely cosmetic for our enjoyment.
How you use it isn't how everyone else will use it, we've seen this with SCIV. It's not like it's impossible to use these things for sinister purposes, I've already encountered an invisible character once. That's more than likely just the tip of the iceberg as well, given the assumption that most hackers haven't fully explored things and won't until they can identify what every single line of code actually does. Who's to say there's no line of code that turns someone into a training dummy that cannot be defeated by depleting their health?
Bamco never patched hacks in SCIV, them being widely available for SCV will only ruin the experience for everyone who bumps into the inevitably bothersome number of hackers out there. At the very least they should be forced into figuring it out themselves instead of being given how-to guides and tips on how to do it.
We've got folks around here bitching about offline tourney showings for the game, that effectively makes the online more important with its better netcode right? Well guess what happens to that online when everyone has invisible Algol dealing 10,000% damage and zero chances of a patch to fix it!
Asides from those bits of obviousness, there's also more bits of obviousness you're ignoring here.
1: You're discussing hacks...at a place where it's forbidden.
2: That's not what this topic is about.
Keeping the genie in the bottle is more or less impossible with the sheer number of twats out there desperate to feel special, but at the very least we should all be in agreement that it's a bad thing to wish for it to be easily available when we all know it can only make things worse and that most will be more interested in exploiting it for malicious purposes than something like you imply to be doing like expanding the options of CAS or whatnot.
