Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

Hey I was just wondering if you could sidestep attacks in DOA? Cause it's a 3D game but I've been hit every single time I thought I was succesfully stepping something. Is moving around only for positioning in this game?

Yeah I have done it before... though not recommended.

Doa5 has an actual side step. That shit in DOA4 laughable. TS attacks worked a bit though.
 
Enjoying the story,the visuals,the cinematic s like it was the case in dead or alive 3,4 and soul calibur 3.Following a coherent storyline.(Before everything went down in Sc5)
.Sorry but back in the days ;nobody started playing soul calibur 2 or soul edge because of competitive gaming, tournaments,or whatever you name it...There was something special about the characters background.
 
Not necessary,when people started writing bibles about the frame data and whatever we call it,they also started missing an important point.Every single "good" fight in SC 2 ,3, and maybe 4 used to look like a choreography.That is what entertainment is about.
Not winning or loosing ,or even defeating 50 players in a row.I shall not complain about sc5 again but when i had a look at the command list in the old sc,i could feel the fencing spirit behind it.Soul calibur 5 does not feel like soul calibur anymore because competitive gaming has became the only focus...They have killed the spirit and the aura behind it...(No story,no cutscenes,no passionate gameplay)
Don´t get me wrong i have nothing again competitive plays and tournaments.But at the end if the game does not have a solid background.You will never really be able to enjoy it.

As a long-time Helena mainer, that's disconcerting. I can't say I'm unassuaged, it seems my fate to forever latch onto the wrong characters, but I'll give her a shot anyways and if things seem to be not be working out, there's plenty of other characters to jump ship to. Be a shame if I had to though, and I'm the kind of guy who tends to drag his feet on issues of loyalty. Some of the videos I've seen have had me thinking the new characters look perhaps a little too good. We'll see for ourselves soon enough.

But there are people who say that in every game. Sometimes it's more true, other times it's less true. I tend to find the ones saying it though are usually the ones playing the characters at the top of the list, lol. You know it's true. I'm not saying your friends are like that, or that they haven't been right in the past. But this is a new game. I have played enough fighting games that I have seen some where the tier lists were very solid, palpable, concrete and real. You have too I'm sure. For what it's worth I hope these guys you know are right. Let's wait till we get our own hands on the game before we start crowing one way or the other though.
 
Apparently the collectors edition is only sold in the UK by a retailer called CentreSoft :S Never heard of it.
