If there was a Soul Calibur VI, prequel/sequel/reboot/retcon?

Yeah; a problem that PS has with the story is that they're playing favourites a bit too strongly. They already have characters they aren't even giving any explaination or relevance to. Why make new characters to replace the characters that have no more depth? I mean Astaroth has technically always been victorious in his hypathetical endings but never had anything canon but his death? Why isnt the new Astaroth a threat to anyone of they're now populating the world? Why doesn't Tira care about it? Whats really so special about Pyrha?

I think this ("playing favorites" as you say) could've had potential to result in a better story. Really, until V they've always tried doing the story Dienasty Warriors style with each character getting their own unique, disjointed, horribly-paced path as the protagonist in console editions until the next sequel came out and said what really happened. And this became more and more of a problem as the roster expanded, similarly to Dienasty Warriors. The only other way to get every character involved would be a series of excuses for them to have just enough screentime to be playable a la every other game that tries to go the Dienasty Warriors route with a little bit more sense. From a story perspective, that's still pretty bad to just shoehorn in characters.

If Bamco kept on catering to fan demands like Koei does, eventually we'd also have a roster of eighty characters with the same diversity seen in Pong, except since the scrub opinions are more numerous all the characters that require effort to learn(e.g. Setsuka/Alpha Patroklos and Viola) would be so damn overpowered it'd be stupid and any character presented as a sort of boss would be nerfed to the point that they're moot just so scrubs can mash their way to victory in the story...Because of that, I don't want Bamco to listen to us :C

Setsuka should come back because she's best charcter period. A. Pat is an injustice to have her style and I wish that Patrolkos would have the worst whiffing issues of all time and PS to never fix them.

After reading Alpha Patroklos's bio on wiki i kind of understand why he had been using her style. This would be a great opportunity for Setsuka to return since she had taught him (even though his thirst for revenge was pretty big and made him leave). Setsuka too had that thirst for revenge due to Mitsurugi so that is a great reason for her to come back in SCVI (or SCV's next DLC if possible).

A. Pat is an injustice to a great style and he needs to have the worse whiffing issues & worst damage output period to be unviable. When SCVI comes out, I hope that Setsuka the real best charcter period comes back. I'll make sure Daishi overnerfs Patroklos and makes him the worst SC character period.

Dude, just stop...I want Setsuka back, too but you're overdoing it. I'm saving you from having jtdam09 ridicule you even further.
 
Have to second shaolintiger. It's understandable to want certain characters come back. I want Yun-Seong to come back but what's done is done. And saying things like that is not a very professional way to do so...

Then, how will Daishi know that replacing Setsuka was the worst decision period.

Thats not the message that we should be putting out. I for one loahe the new characters and do believe there is a way to fit them all into the roster over PS's rediculous excuses; but it's childish to show that much obession for a single character without an objective reason not to show admiration for all the replaced characters. We want all the characters back where as the new characters need to be recreated for actual relevance but how likely that is is where my concerns are.

Is not like people are trying to stop you of giving your opinion, but statements such as this one are too much, you need to reflect before posting so you don't get a bad fame and everybody get a bad impression of you, don't be so extremist ok? ^^

@DevilsDisguise you don't understand what it's like to have your favorite character's style become destroyed and a story mode just to make the main protaganist super cool just to replace her. I like replacement characters when done right, but I miss the originals too just everyone else.

@Ramus I'm not trying to be a bad guy here. I'm a nice guy. I'm still mad about it and I'll always stay mad until I get Setsuka back and for Patrolukos to be unviable.
 
I did never, but please keep in mind that there other persons here that might think different of you, and this kind of comportment give the casual fanbase a bad fame, just calm down, please.

Then make a CaS Setuska :/ I know it's not much but at least try to make the best out of the situation - u -; I was pretty upset when I found out the Angel sisters were removed but hey I decided to make the best of the situation and moved on. I hope you can do the same ^-^;

What Angel sisters? It's not the same without umbrella. I'm great with Leixia and by the way she's very viable. I found half life combos with her with 1 bar.

Look, we all miss our faves that got replaced and all, but this is getting out of hand. I know you mean well about Setsuka and everything, but it's just on overload. If I complained as much as you did about how my fave characters should be back, and their successors nerfed and removed, I would sound pretty selfish if you ask me. Why not give it a rest.
