[Southern California] Kings Of the Ant Hill

I was recommended here from the caliburforums, so where's the competition. I frequent the UCI area on weekdays and back in the hometown of Long Beach on weekends. I have been playing Soul Calibur competively since part 1, so hit me up!
 
Okay, so Kosh is right, looks like we got a bunch of people in the UCI area. (Tag, you might have better luck on CF if you were looking for LA competition, lest you're willing to drive :D ). If we want to get some really local casuals going who's got the space to put up 4/5 strangers? Also, anyone here know Poker, Tsaiko or Cappuccino from CF?

I dont remember Poker, but I'd recognize Tsaiko and Cappuccino if I saw them in person. Tsaiko had a crazy Nightmare and Cervantes, Cappuccino is obsessed with ribbons.

Count me in on the Irvine group. I'm close to UCI and am always up for some games.

Don't suppose anyone here is in Villa Siena and could just walk over?
 
I live in Mission Viejo (which is very close to Irvine) so count me in!

Anyone free this weekend? I have 3(!!!) CRT TVs, a PS3 and 2 controllers. I live in Irvine on Jeffry near the 5. Parking is decent.

If you want to all come over, I'd need 1-2 more systems with s-video or rca connectors.

Just as an fyi, I'm never free on Friday.
 
So if you want to come, post here and which day, Saturday or Sunday, is better.

We also have 3 SD CRT TVs and 2 PS3s with 4 controllers and no sticks.

I am really tempted to go, and get in some good games. I will be in Long Beach this weekend like every weekend. I would definitely make the drive up to play but I have a birthday to go to this saturday and sunday.

Just out of curiosity, what time do you guys expect to get-together?
 
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude sorry but I'm not gonna be in town this weekend. Next time I can definitely make it and I can help with the console situation. Not so much on the TV though. Out of curiosity are you in the Ranch? I live in there too, closer to the Yale side than Jeffrey.

Hm.. I'm going to move the meeting thing to next weekend, say, Saturday at 1?

If we get a bunch of people, I might run a tournament I guess...
 
Kosh: Next Saturday, meaning the 13th, correct? If so, I'm interested, but I will give you some type of confirmation in the next few days.

Every weekend is a maybe for me, free time is always subjected by gf time -_-"

But I have a PS3 with an arcade stick and gamepad. I will definitely try my best to squeeze out an afternoon.

What are your thoughts on button mapping and ivy infinites?
