PSN/XBL Ragequitters

This douchebag named Jreeves1 quit on me in two ranked matches in a row. Both times my Asta was in the middle of a move that would have KO'd him for the win and he disconnects.

That guy is always on the top of the leaderboards, fighting to keep that BS record of his on top.

Nothing really bad happens? The hell? o_____O
A guy who has 500-0 ranked and has gone around quitting matches should have his LIVE account banned. Not acceptable in anyway.

Btw, that game also has systems in place that attempts to give the win to the player that did not disconnect. Holy crap, your win % actually starts to become a more worthwhile statistic!!!11!

You really need to look at "rage quitters" in a more realistic manner. Of course it's dishonorable and not nice, and sure, it robs you of points or wins sometimes. But who honestly cares? Like am I supposed to care that some dude out there who I could destroy has a 97% win ratio which he gained illegitimately? I'll laugh at them, I won't play them again, I'll mention they quit on me, but I could really care less about "getting even" with them, or seeing something bad happen to them like getting banned.

This starts to seem borderline acceptance of RQ'ing. He should take all of his losses. You should probably stop talking for TiZ, you just made this thing sound a lot worse than it probably is.
This kinda reminds when I had someone on friendlist in SC 4 that admitted to RQ against me when I asked. Yeah, HAD. Is probably blocked too. Those who compete don't RQ / :

People use to rage quit all the time on me in DOA4 but I still got points for the wins so I was happy. Don't get mad at the users because the game failed to put in place proper parameters to prevent people from doing stuff like this. I mean hell, they even give people a "leave match?" option mid-game. Yes the users are being immature by doing so, but people quit out all the time, like in Black Ops 2, I see a quitter twice per game. It's all about how much you let immature people effect you. I'm at that point in life where I have learned to just accept and tolerate immature people.

RQ'ing is serious business. That's why this thread exists, after all. It's not just a matter of caring whether they do or not, it's a matter of HONOR. Whoever does it will bring utmost shame to their famiry and destined to have a taste...of HELL!

[/sarcasm]

I don't know about honor (don't wanna see anyone start commiting sepukku after a loss or something) but rather to me it is just basic decency and consideration. You're messing with someone else's day, even if just a little bit, to hold on to some fake virtual record which everyone can tell is bullshit anyways. What's the point?

Some guy called pandalaman just rage quit on me. He had a two round lead, but I somehow made a comeback. I think that's what made him angry lol
I know this is pretty irrelevant, but I got 16 win streak on ranked just now! Yay! Would have been 17 if pandalaman didn't quit. That's a new record for me xD
To be fair, it was mostly D and C ranks on tonight. Yeah I'll shut up now lol. People hate ROs xD

Yes exactly, 20% of life is what happens to you, and 80% of life is how you let it effect you. I used to get all upset when someone would quit on me, and I'd feel the need to humiliate them to quell some sort of primitive vengeance against them. Now I just realize people are dumb and do it all the time. It's funny to laugh at, but you shouldn't really get upset over it, hell especially since it's you who won the fight, lol.

If these peopel care so much about their record, why don't they just mod their w/l? I think it would relieve some people of "aw shit. Not ANOTHER RQer :("....:/ either that or those sick bastards enjoy stealing a win from their opponent.

I Heard That HRD Is A Rage Quitting Whore Mongrel, And That Him And Fenris Have Makeout Sessions When HRD Gets Flustered About Losing.

Would it annoy you if you fought someone three times, winning two times, getting RQ'ed both times and then losing once, naturally not getting RQ. Dat loss going to the records?

I get annoyed if the fight is close and then the bastard RQ's at the end. Otherwise I just think "Meh" or sometimes wonder why they RQ when they don't even know you can block in the game.

But I don't think it really matters that much how people feel about the RQ, it still hurts the game in many ways. Having seen it happen in so many games, I consider it a banworthy offence. The threat of a ban cuts down the RQ's considerably and then the rest of the fuckers just get banned, excellent. Naturally these systems that give the disconnecting player the loss and the other one a win are great also.

For some reason writing this reminded me of 'Random Steven ' or some nick name like that, I don't think I have played a single match with the guy that he would not have RQ'ed from o_o

This post kind of makes me wanna kill puppies....and I love them. It oozes a fusion of indecisive, passive, too carebeary I don't care but I do contradiction post. Thus, sometimes it reminds me of me when I was like this before. All honorable mushy stuff. Like seriously, your only option at this point is play me on XBL so I can see what your true colors are. I hope you have live, because I think crossing blades with you will ease my thoughts.

On topic: Forgot to share this WingPirate be salty. A week back, he joins ARustyLamb and I's lobby to start stuff with his Cervy. Sure enough, we both beat more than he beats us. I got hatemail like how I'm pathetic for using an alt account and how I have no life for having 15000 gamerpoints and how he has 8000(I have 3 xboxes old, not so old, new). He then proceeds to trashtalk and troll, but Rusty and I muted him and let him stay in the lobby.

Eventually, we go our separate ways. I still think he's flaky. Gut feeling I tell you.

I also had some kiddie on the mic ranting about how I should stop trolling with Yoshi by Flea hopping away and I should just be honorable and beat him. Gave us a chuckle for how cute he sounded like a 11 year old. Poor kid.

If think you think about it, he's pretty much a cocky fellow. He makes a bunch of cock based expressions like "I wasn't trying" or "I'm trash" and such, teabags with obligatory set-ups as Cervy and a few other sub characters just to get me riled up.

At best, he could only get a sarcastic chuckle from me since I already know his intent. One time when he teabagged during a match, I made sure to win and do the Yoshi Flea teabag just to give him a real cock tease. I love it when tough guys bark more than they bite, just makes my victory over them that much satisfying.

The best part is ARustyLamb and I are gentlemen who understand troll mindsets and treated WingPirate with respect despite whooping his ass. It's a shame that while his Cervy isn't that easy, he sometimes makes my victories seem so effortless. Too much cockiness.

There are many ways of dealing with RQ'ers.

1- Like Naruto Ninja Storm games and BlazBlue does, they publicly show their D/C %, so people might tend to avoid them more due to this. So a play will have an incentive not to quit or be faced with a negative mark on his profile.

2- The best of all the options, just give points to the player who is still in the game, Points + a win. Then it's not really a "quit" its more like a "surrender". I guarantee people would hardly ever complain about quitters then.

3- Have a system that punishes them by not allowing them to join matches for a small period of time, this consequence will outweigh their motivation for quitting, they'll just take the loss.

Any of these are perfectly fine, and in placed methods of dealing with quitters, banning people or humiliating these people is just unnecessary because a game failed to put in place small things to minimize the quitting.

Your suggestions are acutually quite good for dealing with RQ'ers. But until such consequences are put into place, these people that think its ok to RQ, will suffer the wrath of my fellow bretheren here at 8wayrun. This thread is more just for laughs and is nothing to be taken seriously. Just lighten up a little and enjoy the ride. If you dont like what we do in this thread, my suggestion is to not read it or post in it. Cause we aint going no where anytime soon.

That's what you get for dealing with garbage, lol, you just should have booted him on sight. I don't even know why you would even play that guy, but I guess you can't really complain about how much of a bad gaming experience you had seeing as you willing chose to deal with him.

He reminds me of VBassassin and Dr Pepper FTW. Both players play SC religiously until 5:00am, you know they don't have jobs, if you lose to them they make fun of you, if you beat them they HATE you and demand rematches. If you refuse to rematch them after beating them, they call you a coward and insult you. Some people are just beyond saving... lol.

Thanks! And I'm not saying you should not talk about them, you're free to discuss anything on a message board. I'm just saying how other games RQ'ers are a lot, lot, lot less. Like on Tekken, but I think that's because SoulCalibur has that "Quick Quit Out" button option, lol. I don't know WHY on god's green earth does this game give you the option to quick quit in Ranked. At least if they dashboard they waste time.

We booted him at first, but then he came back. Thus we decided to let him sulk and take beatings from both of us.

I'm still iffy about people like Dr. Pepper FTW and WingedPirate, but the only thing I can do is just let them have runbacks until I'm famished and/or leave them before I lose brain cells to their stupid egos.
