Leixia Q&A/General Strategy Thread

AA[BE] (Last Hit Only) breaks in 16 blocks and leads to 44[A] combos with an extra 59 dmg after CH AA[BE] break.
4BB (Third Hit Only) breaks in 15 blocks and also leads to 44[A] combos, but with 28 dmg after 4BB break.
4B (First Hit Only) breaks in 14 blocks.
[A+B] (Second Hit Only) breaks in 13 blocks.
66BbB (Guard Break Only) breaks in 7 blocks. Also, it does 30 dmg. Really useful if you break with 66B because you would get the same dmg from 66BB after nearly any other guard burst into CE for 98 dmg.

Leixia's 44B+K supposed only aGI's non-thrust verticals, yet I've aGI:ed the A in Leixia's 6BA's with it in mirrors. It's been a while and I'm about to go to bed, so I can't double-check, but I'm positive this has happened.

How?

Considering it's a swiping horizontal I would say the game doesn't consider the A a thrust?

I would have to say either the wiki is wrong (not out of the realm of possibility) or the game considers it one move. Since it starts off as a vertical it considers both hits verts.

I like the 2nd possibility. It'd open up the door for it to aGI certain other moves that aren't actually Verticals. Someone should research this.

aGI does not work there.

I swear I've 44B+K:ed the A. I'll boot up my Xbox 360 in a minute to double-check in training mode. Maybe I misremember.

Edit: It didn't work. Heck, 4A+B wasn't even fast enough. So I must be misremembering. Maybe they did 6B and then another vertical and in the confusion I thought it was 6BA.

4A+B does aGI 6BA if 4A+B is delayed. I think you ment 22_88B+K with aGI Horizontals, Verticals,
Non-Thrust & Body Attacks.

Proabably just got the agi vs 6BaB no?
This is actually more likely than 22_88B+K because I remember "Oh, please".

On an unrelated note, yesterday, I watched a Leixia knock down an opponent with a CH on a non-launcher. The player then immediately did AAB and despite AA clearly no hitting anyone (because the opponent was, you know, knocked down), Leixia still went "Guaranteed hit!". Just randomness.

I think the combo thread needs to list which characters 1A ~ 66B.B and 6B.A (AT) ~ 6K.K work on. I think I've seen the 6B.A combo listed by character it will and won't work against somewhere, but it's buried in the middle of the thread.

I really don't know if I should be asking this in this thread...but when you say "6K or 5B" or things like that, what buttons do the numbers mean?

if you look at your number pad on your keyboard and think of it as standing on first person side. then you get

7(ub) 8(u) 9(uf)
4(b) 5(n) 6(f)
1(db) 2(d) 3(df)

there's a thread on this somewhere here tho, if I find it, I'll link it

So the numbers relate to the directions. 4 is backwards and 6 is forwards, making 2 and 8 down and up respectively. This sounds confusing, but if you look to your keyboards number pad you'll instantly pick it up.

So to explain further, "66" would be "press forwards twice" or "run at the opponent".

As for A/B/K/G, these are the names the game assigns to the following buttons:

Xbox/PS

A = X/Square
B = Y/Triangle
K = B/Circle
G = A/X

^ Of course I just re-read and you knew what those were. Gonna keep that part for colour though.
