Maxi General Q&A

I feel the Maxi SA would benefit from videos and guides on the top tiers at this point. Get cracking and dissect those match ups.

I've been living in training and there's so much to share with you guys, but I can only post on the phone. So prepare to be enlightened... in the distant future.

I'll pass along the rest of the frame data that needs fixed up in the not so distant future if someone will put it in the wiki.

Will do.

Regarding the wr B+K, you are forgetting two points.

One is backstepping in SCH (i am not talking about realigning), which works at a lot of ranges and lets him whiffpunish with SCH B.

The other thing is stance cancel, since wr B+K is i26, sieg can just block it. You need to mix it up with something i20 or faster since stance cancel is -20. For example i could stance cancel and then use JG to punish.

WR B+K is a very good option but the reverse mixup is more like "will he attack or will he block" (do something defensive). WR B+K only beats one part of the mindgame.

it catches SCH backstep at all ranges but tip. And there really isn't a point not to just do WS B+K since it breaks in 9. Seig goes into SCH 9 times game over on guard gauge.

The backstep in SCH works a little bit different from regular backdashes. It activates very quick, so you always do a couple of them in a row, which will beat wr B+K at more than just tip range.

The part about wr B+K's guard dmg is true but dont forget that you are punishing a launcher here. By all means if he gets his launcher blocked that often, he should be dead.

Im testing it right now. At close range SCH back step gets caught. At mid range he still gets caught. Also like i said in my earlier post he is safe to whiff punish Maxi at Tip range.

The key to getting this punish to work is by doing iWS B+K otherwise maxi will miss which isn't exactly hard to do.

Seig gets into SCH at least a gazillion times per game though lol.
