No it doesn't have a practical use unforetunetly his CE is too slow to catch a backstep
 
Guys I am curious about one thing, there is any move that I can link after 214 B that can allow me to do a CE.
Also 22\88 K is worthy?

Im not quite sure what you mean by this?

22K is great on hit. it gives you a +15 frame stun allowing alot of follow ups for example-
22K > (B) finish the combo for 60 damage and have a tech trap follow up for the opponent to fear(66BA)
22K > 4KB this is a garanteed forward RO option.
22K > Grab/Mid mix up. they can duck the throw but if they do get thrown it combos
22K > B+K BE set up
22K > Guard break attack( 66A+B, 214B)

The biggest drawback is trying to get it to hit, because its a sidestep attack it comes out 10 frames slower and you cant sidestep whiff punish with it on reaction unless its a string otherwise you have to take a risk and hope they come at you with a vertical, also its a high aswell lowering the chances of landing( this is why i empty sidestep with ZWEI so if i see them whiff i can A+B or 66BA whiff punish them, and if they didnt whiff then i havent just whiffed my 22K)

But it most certainly not a bad move to use when your opponent's back is to a ring edge or wall as it does catch step and the rewards of it hitting would be worth it.

The only possible ways (I can currently think of) to get a CE involving 214B are..

b+kBE 214B CE (214B has to hit [cannot be blocked], otherwise the CE won't pick them up)
4(A) 214B CE
4(A) 214B 3B 1kBE CE



In other news, I'm not sure if this has been figured out or not.
66(A+B) 214B..
With proper timing, the B will break right before Ein hits, allowing CE or A+B to connect.

Pretty easy to see coming, but still cool if it's pulled off.
 
I try really hard to avoid any stuns with his CE. It's a grab-type CE so it's damage doesn't scale too hard, but his CE's purpose is to combo afterwards involving a lot of hits, which makes stuns prior to the CE landing a Nightmare.

Found something pretty weird. (This doesn't just apply to ZWEI)

Leixia's BB and Mitsu's BB are -13 on JG so ZWEIs only punish is K right?

Wrong.

For some reason 2A also punishes it.

ZWEIs 2A is definitely i14 from standing because it doesnt punish -13 things like leixia's 3B.

and Leixia's/Mitsu's BB is definitely -13 on JG because ZWEI's 6B and AA which are i14 doesn't punish them.

Against Other characters BBs like Pyrrha and Algol for example they are also -13 on JG but 2A doesn't punish those.

Other characters with a fast 2A like ZWEIs also punishes.

I'm not complaining one bit tbh because against those 2 characters since we can get a 2A punish rather than a K punish thats a +8 for us rather than a +2.

But what is going on? is this a glitch? im definitely blocking afterwards someone test this to be sure.
 
After 66A W! you cant normally 66A+B and get a knockup. 3B gives another W! but not high enough. I have found out that after 66A W! if you do about 1/4 of a backstep and 3B you can get a high W! instead of a low one. This can lead to 66A+B combos, grabs and other things.
 
Has anyone figured out how to make this character... you know, not suck yet? Because it's been like a year and a half and it looks to me like we've gotten nowhere in making ZWEI viable. I'm donating my Alpha abilities to this SA to combat the badness Kappa I will find a way to rock the ZWEI
 
Welcome to the wolf-pack I guess, I've seen more nicer ways to introduce yourself, like not insuiting the work members have already put in with him because if you have have been reading the threads here you would of seen actually a lot of progress since the start.
For example how ZWEI isn't a bad character but he's not the amazing either.
He has strengths such as Guard damage which can be mixed with fast quick pokes.
A pretty good keep out game.
Effective wall and ring out game.
80 damage meterless duck punisher more with meter.
And some nasty set ups.

And now I am working on MU threads to increase our chances of winning even further.

As Andy said plenty of guys have and are still putting in work with this character. Just look at top Zwei Zane and his EVO performance, one win from top 8 with a "bad" character. True Zwei is far from Alpha, we all know that, but true mastery is knowing what you can't do first, imo of course.

Also Andy, zombiebear's match-up chart from ages ago is filled with info.
