We stood around for about 15 minutes because I didn't use the binos to get an aim on him because of the angle. FINALLY, I realized I could just auto-aim him even at that angle then, 2 shots, and ded. lololol

I want another person to invade like that so I can set up a wall of lingering flame and then run like a bish.

That's actually an NPC invader who for some reason is too retarded to climb the ladder. He will just kinda stand there and stare at it like he's trying to climb it but can't figure it out.

No of course not. I'm saying they infinitely stun lock from 0 experience and prior knowledge.

I thought so, 'cause I've had 2 characters use them extensively and the most hits I've gotten without them being able to roll is 4 with the R1.
Sure, 4 hits can probably be enough sometimes, but it's certainly not infinite.

Perhaps you're basing this on NPC invaders who never roll, have no poise and are most easily killed on any character by just switching to your fist and spamming R1 for 5 minutes.
 
I'm fairly certain you can stunlock basically all health away from somebody with caestus.
If you don't like taking damage though, just equip the ring of thorns and the old sun ring. It's fucking stupid.
Also, shoutouts to Frosty. A little known DkS streamer I started to that has a great music selection.
 
Trying to do the black gulch pilgrim of dark run, keep getting killed by the first enemy. I'm not sure how people are able to lock on so far away, because I certainly can't do it. It's the last mission before I need to do for the covenant.

light matters in this game, that's why gandhal sells cast light. if you have some light you can lock onto enemies from longer distances. so either use the cast light spell or buy some flame butterflies. if you bring a torch, becareful of the waterfalls and puddles all over the area. and yeah the turtle kicked my ass most outta all the enemies there (including the boss).

On a related note, I finally got Vanquisher's Seal...
So, remember how I thought Caestus did really decent damage? ...Well now Fists do x1.5 their damage...

The location of the portal doesn't matter does it? No matter where you go, the first map is always the first and the second always the second and so on, at least, that's what I thought...
Ahh, is it just that the boss always spawns in the last? That's probably it.

nope. each portal location puts you in a different spot, castle drangleic is the easiest imo when you're gonna attempt the boss. the boss does appear at the end of each level after you lit all the torches though, so once you light them all it doesn't really matter which one you go to.

You've seen somebody not roll, congrats. I'm certain 4 hits is where people get rolls for me, but hey, I can go on the character right now and find out.
Could be because it's left handed by the way, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Did you even bother looking at the 12 HOUR VIDEO of a guy constantly stun locking people to death WITH THE DUAL CAESTUS that I literally just linked? Lol. Done talking to you you're still as stupid as I remember.

Oh and no I haven't seen someone "not roll". I have personally been stun locked to death by the fucking things. But believe what you want kiddo.
 
regardless of if/when you can roll outta caestus locks, dual caestus L1 will wreck you. also, does the champion's seal power up the caesuts or just your fisticuffs?

Just Fists, and they far outclass Caestus in damage. Not enough experience to say more than that though... poise damage, what have you...

3 hits if I open with a rolling attack.

So yeah, I'll believe my own experiences over a gif of somebody not rolling.

The low framerate of the gif meant I couldn't see this was the L1 of dual Caestus, switching to MP4, I can see that now. You might've mentioned you were talking about dual Caestus in the first place though.

That's all you needed to correct.
I've barely done PvP on my dual Caestus character, and in that limited experience my own phantom range prevented me from actually comboing it. My Caestus/Greatsword character on the other hand...

A simple misunderstanding that could've easily been avoided if you'd bother giving necessary information before degenerating into insults.
